  1. Bass will definitely be suspended over deep water chasing bait. Go to your summer spots and move deeper and keep an eye on the graph. Live sucker minnows are deadly. Also big vertical jigging spoons will work as well.
  2. Pretty much. I'll be happy with round 2 of the playoffs. Anything further then that is gravy.
  3. If you wanna fish escapees then you're best bet is to buy fish food from the store on the res before going in. Also, you'll wanna chum those stupid things as well. Anyone else catching anything? Usually it's either hot or dead.
  4. No salmon in the sound and lakers close as of midnight tonight. Bass will probably be deep chasing bait. Tough gig without a boat but ya never know.
  5. Those are some nice thick pike! Good job man. I love that initial hit then nothing but weight You know you've got a biggun
  6. I've been doing the opposite the last few weeks, lol.
  7. Raised a big girl on GPool on Friday, blanked today. Front moved in shut everything down. Poop. Temps still around the mid 60s.
  8. Nice man! I was out hunting skis the other day. Had one blow up because I wasn't paying attention like an idiot (didn't figure 8 that one cast and paid for it) Although I did get a nice bucket on a double 10! lol. That was a bit of a shocker.
  9. Yup, wasn't a fan of them at all. They touted them as gloves you could actually leave on while steelheading (lol not even close)
  10. I send my 3 Shimano Calais and my Antares AR to them, along with a Sustain 1000 FE and a Sustain 2500 FE every year. The amount they've replaced and not charged me for is insane. And that fact that these are platinum level reels I get them back in no time. I'll never send them anywhere else.
  11. I saw so many floaters down in PH a few weeks ago when I was down there.. Insane. That's what happens when you're fishing the soup.
  12. Nothing like ditch fishing for scruffy steelhead.
  13. I'll ask them if they had permission to use it, lol
  14. You should see all the idiots saying things like... 'That's fake!!!' No ****!! lol
  15. Yeah, I think that's the best part about that river. Doesn't matter how you fish for them, you'll catch them. After the first few hours, I basically tossed top water mouse patterns the rest of the trip. Although a spinning setup would have been a lot less tiring
  16. If the water is that cold, you should be in a floater/survival suit anyhow... Life jacket isn't going to save you from hypothermia.
  17. The bear didn't even flinch when I fired off 3 rounds into the air. It entered the water upstream of us and swam downstream and towards us, probably popped out of the water about 50ft away. Shook off, looked and just walked up the bank and into the trees. Zero interest in us.
  18. I have tracks/waypoints from our trip. We started fishing south of where the Warchesku enters the Sutton, saw fish as soon as we entered the river, it was pretty crazy. Caught fish as soon as we got out of the boat. According to Albert it was a high water year and honestly I wouldn't have wanted to fish it any lower, it was perfect. Didn't have to get out of the boat once to get over any gravel and it made some of those long gravel stretches downstream some of the best water we fished. I'll have to dig into MapSource but some of our best fishing on those long gravel stretches were above the Aquatuk. We zipped through the 'Freezer hole', that's the big bend pool just DS of where Albert has his tent. We only fished the tailout as there were two old boys already there, I really didn't feel like sharing water with anyone, lol. I'm still pissed I pulled the 12g instead of the camera when we encountered that polar bear at the Aquatuk. Pictures would have been unreal, lol. I'd love to get back, but I really wanna knock the big brother Arctic char off my bucketlist before that
  19. This guy actually made me laugh, I usually can't stand many fishing hosts to be honest. He's a riot!
