Curado is a good reel along with the Citica.. I don't think you can go wrong with any baitcaster from a number of companies... They all make a decent product.

Luis, I'm not in good shape at all man, you wouldn't have to many problems. Just think of the steak on the grill the first night, makes it all worth it.

Chalk it up to a glitch in the Matrix then.

I was out crashing a local stream lastnight. Lots of blackflies but they weren't biting.. More annoying then anything.. I think I got one bite on my arm...

Luckily that isn't a $500 reel But like Solo said, some of the more expensive reels come with sealed bearings.. A little dunk isn't going to hurt anything...

heh Jim, I feel bad dunking the reel in the water, that was just for a good picture, lol.. I clean mine after every trip, the last thing I need is to pooch some bearings in a very expensive reel.

Maybe I had a case of the beaver fever I think our next trip will be a little more memorable.

Sounds like the pike knocked a few BB's out of it. Call Rapala, they'll most likely replace it without a fuss.

Nice job man!!! I guess I got lucky and landed my first on a pin in the mighty Geen. I have however lost lots of fish since then, lol Better start saving your $$$ now, this gets very addicting.

lol, I guess you've never been in a boat that uses vertical rod holders? That's all we use in my oldmans Legend and we've never had an issue with 'flopping rods' or 'dangling hooks' Hell, my 8' Compre muskie setup doesn't even get in the way. Being aware of your surroundings doesn't take to much effort.

If he is selling it off a used lot in Ontario, he's already done the leg work. We picked up my oldmans '07 Duramax down in Florida last year. Saved a tonne of $$$$ Importing it was quite simple, just needs to make sure you have all your papers in order.

I use a creeper all the time when under the car

Only when I am small stream trout fishing. Other then that, I don't pinch my barbs unless the regs state that I need to.
