  1. You want to hook them right under the knot... Also, if you have a bag with 4-5 eggs, make sure you puncture one when putting it on the hook. All that gooey nastiness is a great attractant.
  2. I'm tired from all the walking.. The past 2 weeks have been a blast man!!!!
  3. I think I know exactly what this is, thanks for the reminder! I'm a member of a local car forum which has a secret santa thing every year.. You draw names and send out a gift for around $20 to the person who's name you draw... This *might* be it...
  4. I will hand deliver it if you take me out on the St.Marys!
  5. Canada post just delivered a package which I didn't order.. I open it up only to find the mother of all plastic kits from BPS... This thing has everything.. senkos, jigs, lizards, etc etc.. No note, no receipt, no nothing... Just this thing wrapped in a BPS bag... Should I be scared of anthrax? lol
  6. Unless they snap into 4 pieces.
  7. You should be telling that to the guy with flyrods
  8. Tony, you mean a snagged fish doesn't count? lol I noticed this while fishing south of the border ALL the time.. If I see the float bobble or something similar I'll set the hook, but at the end of the drift if it's not doing anything special I'll just reel it in.
  9. Or break out your monster leads and make drifts until you can't see the float anymore Frog water also paid off for me yesterday... 2 fish in about 5 mins.
  10. I'm sorry but screw him. I am so sick of people that think they own the river. As long as you asked and let him make some drifts before walking through I don't see a problem. I also REALLY like guys that don't have the stones to say something to your face, but will mutter it to their buddy just so you can overhear them... I think next year I'm not going to be so nice.
  11. We routinely run big leads (10ft+) without slips... We were running close to, if not over 13ft leads a few weeks ago... No slip no nothing.. just a normal float
  12. Sure you can fish it with a float setup.. It would be simple with a 15' rod A little tougher with a 13', but if you have the room, it's not a huge deal.. Landing fish with a monster lead is a pain in the ass sometimes..
  13. I usually get my stuff in 2-3 days. Jim is a gret guy to deal with, even refunded me my $$$ on some singles I bought that weren't very chartreuse! Also replaced a Riverwood jig that had the hook pop due to a bent hook (Not like it's his company or his product) No complaints from me at all, I get almost 100% of my float gear stuff from him.
  14. Laz, you want an insane fight, hit an early season fish out of the Notty Make sure you make it a point to get up there next year. They are incredible.
  15. Shouldn't the motivation come from actually caring about the fish and wildlife and not a big pay check? Commission based salary for a CO is silly. Imagine if the OPP was commission based? No reason why a CO shouldn't be making what a cop makes (within reason)
  16. I hate those split grips.. Gimme cork.
  17. I'll do whatever I can, I haven't used that rod much.. Now, will it fit in the car? That's another question!
  18. I was told my 8ft Compre would be to long for the plane, lol Screw it! It's coming with me!!!!!!
  19. One piece? Might be a tight fit on the plane, lol
  20. Might also wanna check out hipwader.com Almost all fly fishing related.
  21. Sounds like a plan!! Although I'm allergic to fish But I'll catch as many as I can for you guys to eat... Louis, I'll be bringing lots of Gibsons Finest Rare and other bottles of goodies.
  22. /crosses off maple syrup beans from Attawapiskat trip.
