  1. 3-4ft of leader is fine, but it really depends on what type of water you are fishing.. ditches out east I'd be running 18-24inches or so.. Also, you can put dust shot on your leader, no law prohibiting that If you aren't getting hits, change up your shot, leader length, etc until you do.. You'll never catch fish if your presentation isn't infront of their noses...
  2. You time yourself when you make bags? I didn't realize I had a time limit when I sat down in front of the couch. Tieing roe bags is serious business!!! It's pretty self explanitory, you really need me to explain it to you? Lay net on top, put eggs in, pull lever, tie off bag/cut. Done. Ultyma316: I just secure it to the table/whatever with 3 strips of packing tape..
  3. I can make all kinds of cool colour combinations, I like doubling up the netting if the water I'm fishing is going to be dirty... Every little bit helps! Definitely do it youself! You can never blame the bags in that case though
  4. LOL!!!!!!!!!!! How many per hour depends on the user I can rip off a dozen in about 10mins... Makes tieing dozens of bags at one time extremely simple.
  5. Is your lead long enough? Jigs are deadly also...
  6. I'll be extremely surprised if that fish survives... Leaving a treble in it's throat is pretty much a death sentence. Where was the hook? In the gills? If not, a little streamside surgery isn't going to hurt.. Sure it might be deep, but if it's in the roof of the mouth, it will be fine... You couldn't go in via the gillplate and atleast snip off the hooks?
  7. Buy a spawnee tieing machine and some netting.. Doesn't get any easier..
  8. Isn't that always the way? I'd love a 15'er for the 'Geen.
  9. I'll take the 'Geen over the Credit any day... But that's just personal opinion..
  10. Nice to get that skunk off your back!!! Way to go man!!!
  11. Wow, #1 and #3 might be the same fish! I've been going back and forth with the marks on the gillplate and I can't see a difference, lol
  12. Jacques, can you make any with rattles? I love fishing topwaters! especially the spooks.
  13. I'm sure it felt like 15mins, but I am willing to guess it might have been around the 5 mins mark, lol Awesome fish non the less, really nice colours on that one!
  14. I wouldn't considering guiding a full time gig, unless you are REALLY good and have a lot of clientele.
  15. With this lack of rain, I might just stay home this weekend, lol.. It's going to be a very tough fish...
  16. The guy wants a steelhead, the Credit is a easy place for him to get into something... The runs are well defined and you'd have to be blind to miss them.. Great place to get the confidence up.
  17. Jacques, this is a family site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Keep it up man! Make sure you take notes on the conditions and the flow rates. If it was a bit gin today, fish it with a bit more flow next time..
  19. lol, I think you need to hoist those suckers a bit higher!
  20. Pft, the raccins are eating her now!!!!
  21. I'd check out the Credit before I'd check Bronte.. Always fish in that river
  22. I was wondering if it had rained lastnight when I made my way up Ferndale Dr.... Truck's ass end got way out of wack when I turned onto Essa
