How to size a bow-mount electric trolling motor

RE: Charging when offgrid. Get a small generator like a Yamaha or Honda and hook it up to the onboard charger and run it at night. Solar isn't going to make a dent, and usually you want to charge at night. -

I got some great pics a few years ago when I was out west.. -
Muskie habitat in the 'Geen is the exact opposite of where you'd fish steelhead. Dead slow frog water, find a big tree in the water, good bet you'll find a muskie. Bass are prolific.
-
Jerk baits for pike would be the ticket. They aren't very picky. Slip floats and small plastics for the crappie. Remember they feed 'up' so don't run a lead that's too long. Walleye you'll wanna be rip jigging in any weeds you find, they should still be fairly shallow depending on water temps.

Huh? One of those groups has very different rights than the other two.

The Severn doesn't have a huge population of pike, if you're back there all you'll be catching are bass. I find the back bays off the main Severn river are better for crappie than the one way back in the slop. This time of year crappie are all dictated by water temp. Find the right temp, find the fish.

Slippery slope. Possession limit vs out of season fish. This debate could go on forever lol. I think a little bit of common sense needs to be applied to the regs.

Lake O Salmon Charter - Looking for a recommendation

What time of year will dictate where you're fishing... When are you planning on going? -
Big Chute ramp has been permanently closed. If you want to fish that water, launch at the marina upstream. You aren't getting into Tea Lake unless you've got a high water year as well from under that bridge. There is however a free launch at Tea (right near the bridge) but the ramp is pretty steep. Park across the street in the parking lot. Also, all you'll be catching in those back bays this time of year are OOS bass. Spot you'll want to avoid.
-
For spring pike? No. GPool is where you'll want to target. Little Chute comes out of Six Mile and dumps into GPool. East end of the lake by Big Chute.
-
I've got zero issues with the kid getting a photo with this fish. It's the people who would take advantage of the proposed rule change I'd have an issue with.
-
Absolutely does not need to be changed.. Then you'd have guys targeting OOS fish just to get pics with them. There's a season for a reason.
-
Free. I wouldn't waste my time in Maclean.
-
Launch in Maclean and follow the river into GPool.

Google 'Maple Lake public boat ramp' and you'll get this result... https://www.algonquinhighlands.ca/explore-play/parks-and-outdoor-spaces/boat-access/

I don't use a transom saver to save the transom, I simply use it to keep the big mill from flopping around. It's a typical transom saver however (Connects to the trailer etc). Like Randy mentioned above, your transom takes way more of a beating out on the water then it ever will on a trailer.

BillM replied to ABsucksmissON's topic in General Discussion
How big of a boat are we talking about? There's no fishing boat out there that couldn't get under the bridge and zigzag around the tree stumps. I've done well for largies and crappie in Maclean but I rarely ever fish it as GPool is right there.
