  1. I always come down that way for the brown run, it's like an annual pilgrimage
  2. I use the Buff as well, works great.. Not hot even on the warmest of days.
  3. Sweet! Sure beats dropping some $$$ on a trolling plate Glad you got it figured out.
  4. I can't believe people would need a warning not to eat those fish anyhow. Half dead being brought up on ropes, lol. They are Zalmons!
  5. Saw those channels listed about a week ago, I'm guessing this will be similar to the SportsNet channels.
  6. Yeah, I'm sure he didn't know that was a brown, you think his buddy with the pin thought it was a brown as well? Don't be so gullible. Typical thread for this time of year, someone looking for nothing but info.
  7. Browns aren't in any rivers yet... It's still August man!
  8. There are definitely some fish milling around. A wee bit early for steelhead however.
  9. I bet if you lit a match that entire place would be engulfed in flames.
  10. Fishng the same old patterns day after day expecting the fish to be there because they 'should' be isn't going to work. You've gotta mix it up. The past two weeks I've been getting most of my big smallies vertical jigging out in open water because they are chasing shiners (Add in some bonus fat walleyes as well). Did very well on Sat out in Parry Soud fishing weed edges in 10-14ft of water catching some giants on topwater (yes topwater, mid day, bluebird skies go figure).. This year is definitely not like last year, Weed growth is way off, water temps are down,etc.. The fish aren't going to be in the same places. If you spend 15-20mins fishing a certain pattern and it doesn't work, change it up. Sometimes I'll drive around for a good 15mins watching the graph before I even wet a line. I love fishing, but I hate wasting time fishing patterns that don't produce. My oldman gets pissed because we're constantly moving, etc but he doesn't complain when I'm slipping the net under a 6lb smallmouth he nailed off a weed edge fishing a popper
  11. Been a good season, going in expecting the fish to be in certain places like they were last year definitely isn't going to work however.
  12. Yup. Do it once, do it properly.
  13. We are assuming the guy who stole the ATV had half a brain on his shoulders, maybe he didn't, lol!
  14. Single cab? Don't do that man, lol. Extended cab at a minimum.
  15. Nice fish man! We got into some hogs yesterday fishing Parry Sound. I got one a wee bit over 6lbs. I don't think we caught anything under 4lbs. It was a crazy day!
  16. Husky Jerk with the chrome blue on top and the orange belly? That's been a killer for me as well.
  17. Back to the Sound tomorrow!

  18. LOL! If I get some more it's all yours.
  19. Like Dan said, brook trout do this ALL the time. In really clear water you can see them coming in, bumping away. Drives you crazy sometimes. You can feel the line go slack everytime they do it.. The anticipation of the hit is the best! (Or sometimes you just see them follow in and turn away)
  20. I'll catch all my fish legally, but I'm keeping 3 fat brown hens everytime I go. You remember that chinook roe I gave you? Wanna guess where that was from? The dirty Burt! lol!!
