We've been plastered with 'statistics' for years.. People can't forget the 2 page replies from John can they? Although all those replies and stats still haven't ended up with any sort of Atlantic fishery. Dump the Atlantics and spend the $$$ on steelhead or browns. Fishery would be insane within 5 years.

I realize these cars are exceeding EPA requirements, but let's take a look at the overall picture here. It's a drop in the bucket when compared to anything else with a diesel engine on the road.. I can't imagine how much it would cost to completely redo the standards for driveclean for a few hundred thousand TDI's on our roads. VW is going to recall the cars, flash them, they'll meet emissions, they'll probably get a few less MPGs, owners will be compensated and that will be the end of it.

Diesels are already tested under Drive Clean in Ontario... OBDII test. They'll still pass emissions without issue.

Something is definitely messed up.. If the lake isn't listed as an Aurora lake, then it's fair game. Even if those were Auroras, the MNR screwed up not you.

The EA288 engine with Urea injection is a lot better then the older DPF only cars (2009-2014).. It's too bad they didn't start with urea from the beginning, I doubt they'd be going through this entire ordeal.

I wish I knew more about mushrooms, find quite a few steelheading.

It sounds like some people really should move to the US where the gun laws are a lot more relaxed (In some states). If living here is that bad, then pack your stuff and move.

Reminds me of when I take my niece out fishing. She loses her mind when catching sunfish, I'm laughing the entire time. We have a riot. She's landed a few nice largies as well on her Dora rod.

If that's a black crappie, I'll eat my hat! I can't get over how big that thing is, lol!!

I can see letting salmon and steelhead get to Norval, no issues with that. Has anyone noticed that the fish can take care of themselves? (ie look at rivers without any sort of man made barriers)

What cars are you driving? I did a EGR/DPF delete on my parents after their DPF cracked and VW wanted something like 5k to replace it. (Of course it was just out of warranty).. So needless to say, they aren't affected

I like my resident brown fishery the way it is, not going to sign. Let alone the amount of traffic certain fish in certain areas would bring.
