  1. Quick connects just like wing nuts are NOT recommended.
  2. Fines make money for the MNR............jail time cost everyone money....
  3. They can take a Good Poop before I buy any permits for ANYTHING.......
  4. Fish EARLY in the morning and you probably wouldn't even see anyone on the docks or boats.......I'm done by 8 am in these situations.
  5. I would be the first to complain about a generator running all day while I'm there.......I'm there to get away from the noise and Bull to relax and fish, not listen to someones generator........I'm sure you would too.......think of a neighbor that is always running his lawnmower........not good... I think you have the right answer by changing them out with back up batteries using some kind of hand truck or even a kids wagon.
  6. Build the shed 9X11 so only 99 sq, then build the roof to over hang the walls by as much as 2 ft or more for LOTS of attic storage if need be.........now you have a shed that's under the 100 sq yet you still have plenty of storage in the attic area. One corner of the shed wouldn't bother me over the septic area.........and don't forget, you can always roll the shed off that corner if need be by using PVC pipes under it.
  7. NOT gonna happen...........However, it would be nice to hear from the fellow who recommended the lodge to get the other side of the story on how he was treat and how his accommodations were compared to how they were described........................................
  8. Photobucket is holding all my pictures for ransom. It says I have exceeded my storage limit and now need to pay a monthly fee to access my picture library. WTH........ They want anywhere from $59 to $399 to upgrade my account to access MY PICTURES...they can go to you know where.....
  9. There are a lot of GOOD boats out there, Princecraft or Bass Tracker would not make my list when looking for a boat. NEVER, I repeat NEVER purchase a used boat without first water testing it yourself. PERIOD ! ! !
  10. Hey Uncle Cliff, overall it looks like you had a fine time with your son....... NICE I know what you mean by being deceived when it comes to accommodations and so forth.......we got stung at Gogama Lodge back around 2005.......the cabin....errrrr SHACK was filthy and the outhouse only had 3 walls and no door on it. Behind the shack it looked like the village dump site.....ewwwww. But we caught lots of walleyes, pike and bass so that made up for it.......would I go back to Gogama Lodge......NO WAY JOSE........we found Ivanhoe Lodge a few years later to be as advertised and wonderful to deal with.
  11. A wooden deck would have avoided all this Bull......... Over time this patio is going to heave and crack with the way it was done or the way you wanted it done, PERIOD. You got half a job for what you paid for.........negotiate this deal as PAID IN FULL with what you already paid them and enjoy the summer on your new patio.
  12. Save it for bluegill and crappie fishing........LOL
  13. BINGO . . . . . . Give this man a prize
  14. HEAVY line for that set up but if you can cast with it the OK...... The thing to be careful with is Snags, especially if you are trolling........don't break your rod with that HEAVY lb line......any snags you should point the rod towards the snag so not to bend the rod if you are trying to break off a snag........this way you will not break your rod.
  15. I agree, it could be slid down about 1/2" or so.......
  16. It looks VERY good IMHO......
  17. Ya, that makes sense eh..........one less thing to worry about.......
  18. I concur all your above points.........the only problem could be that the fish arks will not be perfect but rather 3/4 or 1/2 arks and so what........the most important is high speed reading, I sure we can all agree on............or . . . . . . . . . .LOL
  19. I agree 1.5 to 2" is not a smidge but I'm thinking he's over exaggerating.......but so what if the sonar beam is shooting a bit forward and even slightly ahead of the boat in deep water.....if your trolling this is helpful. Bottom line, tilting the back of the transducer down a little corrects the problem of not having any readings at high speed which could be a VERY dangerous situation in unfamiliar waters. Glad to hear he got it going..........
  20. On our last fly in with my bride, we waited for the pilot to show up on the dock. As we waited a young very pretty dock 16-17 year old girl came out to pump out the pontoons on the plane. I thought if we don't get a pilot soon I might have to go inside and ask the owner if the pilot forgot us or what........ After the pontoons were hand pumped out, she OK let's load the plane......great we got some help loading but still no pilot in sight..... Finally after the plane was loaded she said, OK get in we are ready to...... I looked at my wife and she looked at me like WTH......... Of course they always over load these planes but with a runway as long as the lake we finally got air born.... Nice, not too many air pockets and I enjoyed the scenery and flight.....my wife not so much.... Then came the landing and my wife closed her eyes......she couldn't look at all . . . We landed sooooo smoothly my wife didn't believe we were on the water until I finally convinced her to open her eyes. She said it was by FAR the best flight and the VERY BEST landing she ever experienced. And the pilot was the prettiest, friendliest pilot we EVER had...... We both tipped her a dollar........
  21. First MANY of these pilots are independent contractors for the lodge you are staying in. This way if something would happen the lodge is not responsible. With that said, if the pilot helps load and unload the plane yes a tip is in order. Now if the pilot helps carry your stuff to the cabin you are staying in then a larger tip is in order. Let your conscience be your guidance and you will sleep well my friend.
  22. X2 on this unit........I have it on my new boat as well as my old boat and so do 2 fishing partners.......All VERY happy with it.
  23. EASY FIX in about 2 minutes or less....... Simply loosen transducer adjustment and tilt the back of the transducer DOWN just a little bit so it now throws the sonar beam slightly towards the bow.........this will insure a constant flow of water over the ENTIRE surface of the transducer......high speed reading at ANY speed......
  24. Are those the ones that have pointy hats ? ? ?
  25. Hey, at least this crack head is "trying" to make a living..........
