  1. Oh no, the world is coming to a end............again......LOL
  2. Booyaa...........Drop Kick Curb the satellite 2 years ago and never looked back. It was our largest bill and now we are FREE people again....
  3. Get a TOYOTA TUNDRA and enjoy the ride . . . .
  4. This is what I have since 2006 and it works great.......the big fuse panel has a top main breaker where I get electric from the grid or I can turn that off in a power outage and flip the bottom main breaker to bring in electric from the outside generator. Nice and easy set up. You might want to look at Sears for a generator if a store is nearby or online. Our gasoline generator is 5600 watts and can run the whole house, but I never tried running the A/C with it. I think we paid about $750 back then but with the liquidation sale they are having you might beat that price. If you get one of those small generators, they are OK if you just want to run a couple of things. But bear in mind that they have small gas tanks and you will be filling it more often then a larger generator that has top mounted large tank that can run all night long while you are sleeping. Nothing worse then having to get up in the middle of the night to gas up the genny. Don't over spend if you can't afford it, this is a purchase you many never use or use VERY little.
  5. Well there you go captpierre, get that belt changed ASAP or you could be motor shopping soon.
  6. I agree with everything you said, however these northern outboards sit more then they are used. I can see 5 years making sense in the south where the outboard can be used year round but up here it's sleeping most of the time.
  7. Good advice, but as I said once before 5 years seems like a very short time for a timing belt.....do you know why ? ? ? And the Europeans don't know nothing about tires . . . . LOL
  8. Not to mention if you got stuck ANYWHERE you had to wait for help and need heat to stay alive for several days. However, I am glad when the nutcases embrace this technology to lower the demand on gasoline so the supply just keeps getting larger for the rest of us to use.
  9. I guess I should of been more politically correct and said "climate change"........LOL......more nonsense then a man should be allowed to read....
  10. Because timing belts are more precise then a chain that can stretch. Many fine tuned foreign car engines have belts rather then chains. Lexus has a 4.7L engine that has a timing belt while a Ford Tempo only uses chains. Five years seems like a short duration for a outboard engine to have to change the timing belt. Most car/truck engines suggest the belt to be changed at about 145000 km. This could be why Yammies run so much better then those ugly black anchors you always see on cheap boats....LOL
  11. Ya see, if those old dirty dinosaurs only went green the earth wouldn't have gone through another global warming and they would be still hear to hunt with our bows.
  12. I fished out of Air Ivanhoe and I gotta tell you, George has a 1st class operation compared to some of the places we have been. It's been about 10 years now but I'm sure George is still treating customers as family. Good to hear you have a great time.
  13. I don't know anything about Yammy's but if it's a interference motor and that belt breaks while running you now have a nice heavy anchor because the valves will be driven into the pistons. NOT GOOD....
  14. Ya, I can imagine that the snowflake children wouldn't last long in the heat, cold, wind or even rain.......LOL
  15. Pay your electric bill and they will turn your power back on................LOL
  16. I don't get what all the fuss is here about eating muskie's........... I smoke all legal muskies because I really enjoy them. If they change the regs to catch and release only then I will smoke other fish instead but I don't see that happening anytime soon. A caught legal muskie = Good Eats and that is what fish are for...............
  17. YEP, gotta agree........ I noticed that the coolant reservoir was low on my 10+ year old truck so I took a ride to the Toyota dealer and went to buy a gallon (special stuff). The parts guy said $39.99 plus tax......I said I only need a little, do you have a quart........he said, just drive it in the service bay and they will top you off for FREE...... You can't beat that with a Ugly Stick ! ! !
  18. No such thing as a oil change specialist and most licensed auto mechanics don't do oil changes. They have some high school kid doing it for them at minimum wages and you might be his first customer ever....think about that for a while. I have NEVER had anyone do a oil change on any of my vehicle, all done by me and I was NEVER was refused warranty work by any manufacture. Anyone who believes you have to take it back to the dealer for routine maintenance should also look at the bridge I have for sale.
  19. Had a guy last week yell at us while we were drifting for walleyes that we were in his plane board's way.....we had been drifting the same area for about 2 hours before anyone else showed up but this guy demanded we move our boat that was not under power........some guys just don't get the rules of the water.
  20. Watch the video and see if you recognize anyone......LOL
  21. And yet, not one award referred to fishing..........HUH. . . . . .
  22. Canadian / American who cares, what is more disturbing is someone actually watching "golf"....... LOL It has been said many times to me that "golf" is for those who failed at fishing........Not looking good for you OI . ..
  23. HEY, that remark resembles me.............
  24. YA, Lock them up and let the druggies go free......
