Hey friends! So I'm moving to Simcoe, ON in a couple of weeks and have yet to find a cable/internet/phone provider. Seems like the big companies aren't out there and you have to go with third party providers. Just wondering if anyone in the area has a recommendation? Shore fishing opportunities always welcome of course! lol, but the wife would prefer if I focus on this project first! Thanks all!

Hey guys! So the wife and I have booked a trip to Dog Lake in Missinaibi. One of the draws was that the camp has a fishing guide available for day trips. Since we are both pretty much amateurs when it comes to fishing it would be awesome to have a guide in the first couple of days to get to know the water, techniques and baits to use. A guide who knows can definitely make a good trip great. Unfortunately they had one of their cottages burn down and with that and a plethora of other things going on, the guide service is not available for our week there. Does anyone know this lake? Any experiences to share? Tips? Most important is anyone aware of a guide in the area who might be available? We've rented a pontoon boat for the week in the interest of comfort and keeping our two pooches happy. Guaranteed to be a good time, but would love to get into some really great fishing. I thought it looked like a really neat idea! By the video it seems pretty stable but I think I'd keep to the smaller lakes and ponds myself! Could be a lot of fun though!

I highly recommend Redline Outdoors. redlineoutdoors.ca They are based in Muskoka but will travel around to any of the abundant lakes in the area. Eddy was fantastic and very knowledgeable, had a great day of bass fishing with my wife. (my fiancée at the time) Great guys and a great time for a reasonable price.

Hey guys. So the wife and I are moving to St Catharines next weekend. Our new place is about 5 minutes down the street from the Wellland Canal by the QEW bridge. Question is: Is there anything to fish in the canal? I've read a few widely varied opinions on the subject including a few posts on this site a few years back. Didn't sound very promising but you never know what a few years can do to a fishery. Mostly just hoping cause it's so close to home! Any tips or advice greatly appreciated. Also any locals who wouldn't mind a couple of new fishing buddies Lela and I are always looking for fishing friends!
