  4. I just heard the same thing regarding ice conditions....some areas are wide open and others have 3 - 4" of ice...the winds have a lot to do with the open water... Rob....I can probably arrange to rent a cabin on Diamond next winter with huts included...would you be interested??
  5. Hey Rob....when are you heading up???......I'll be up there with a few lads from Feb 26th - Mar 2nd...gotta get back on the 2nd due to it being the wife's B'day
  6. I've never had issues in cold weather starting my 2008 650cc Brute Force Kawasaki...it's always parked outside with a cover on it and starts everytime....I do run synthetic oil in it though...
  7. Congrats Lew ....that sure is a purdy truck!!!....Almost enough to make me want to trade my lemon in and try again .......we'll see after February, if I'm offered a job from the new buyer that bought the company I currently work for in an auction
  8. Same to everyone from my family to all of yours!!!
  9. I'm on my 3rd F-150 4x4 and this last one I bought in 2004 is a LEMON ... I don't tow a big boat and I don't have a plow on it...There's only 78,000km on it - The rear pinion bearing had to be replaced at 10,000km....... - At 43,000km, I took it into the dealer because I noticed the steering was a little stiff....the upper and lower bearings on the steering shaft needed to be replaced ALONG WITH the ball joints and tie rods!!....It was 3 months past the 3 year warranty and luckily, the dealer came through with a "Goodwill" warranty for me - At 64,000km, the rear axle seals started leaking... And just recently, the u-joint went and my local mechanic could not repair it due to some wierd type of C-Clip that Ford used on the 2004 models...he said it needed a special type of tool which he didn't have so I ended taking it back to the dealer and got hit with a $400 repair bill ......now I'm trying to figure out what's happening with the huge vibration I'm getting on the front end....it starts around 50km and seems to get better around 110km.. It's really put a bad taste in my mouth and I'm really going to have to think hard about purchasing another Ford!!!!!
  10. now that there is funny

  13. Do yourself a favour and buy an axe with a fiberglass handle...much cheaper, will last a lifetime and you can use it for a variety of applications year round.....you'll also get in shape. What more can ya ask for???
  14. I'm looking forward to another great Muskie season here on the Mighty O for 2010....The home away from home trip right now is a coin flip between a fly-in to a Northern Ontario lake that has natural Rainbows, Specks and Lakers, or up to a buddies hunt camp near the Iron Bridge area to do some back lake Monster Brook trout fishing that's accessible by ATV or float plane only.... Have a Merry Christmas All!!!!

Thanks guys for all the info....Last minute change in plans .......we've decided to go back to Lake Temagami this year for the 4th annual ice fishing party...5 days of me keeping up with the young lads ....my son-in-law who flies up from Georgia every year for this event wants to beat his PB Walleye from Temagami that he caught on our 2008 trip If any other OFC members are up there the end of Feb/beginning of Mar, send me a pm and maybe we can get together..

  22. Hi Folks....just wondering if anyone has any info on Jumping Caribou Lake...I've heard from some that the fishing is good in the winter and others have told me that the lake is fished out Thanks...
  23. Did you have to modify the plow harness at all as far as the length goes????....I am thinking about buying a set of tracks, but the front tracks seem to really stick out from the bumper....right now, if I angle my plow to the last position, the blade is about 4" from the front tire... Thanks...
