NF - Harbour wall collapses in Port Hope
Yellow Fever replied to John Bacon's topic in General Discussion
I was there on Thursday and the west wall on the river is barricaded too, whats with that? I didn't bother going over to look. -
Been a straight braid guy for years, I use 30 lb for trolling and 20lb for casting, my braid is now white from fading...I can't break it so I figure it's ok. Trim the last foot and re-tie
-
Have an older Terrova and it never failed, bought the MG Xi5 and it has been the biggest mistake I have made....tons of issues to the point they gave me a new one (still junk) get the Terrova.....
-
Don't seem to have a choice the last couple of years......I have a Simms suit so I don't get wet, However being a Walleye angler I honestly believe that I don't do as well when it rains (medium to heavy) and I wonder if it has something to do with acoustic of the rain hitting the water. So....if it's a hard rain I don't go.

Love the pics....dad needs his PFD on as well. Children pick up on these things.
-
I don't mind going out if the fish are on....I just don't see it this weekend,Im thinking it's going to be a tough weekend fishing
-
Great price....just convinced my buddy to pick up a can while we were in Canadian Tire..for 12 a can. So i went and bought 14 cans
-
Yes you could bring a rainsuit....I have extras on my boat and wore mine anyway, Never thought to ask if they had them. Bring all your outdoor gear and you can ask the pros what they want you to bring during the meet and greet
-
Pros supply everything...i bring a small lunch with something to drink and gas money. In most cases $50 is enough. I plan on being there
-
I have fished it as a co out of Port Clinton. As long as you get a decent pro you should be ok. Last year the 1st pro i had clearly wasn't up to snuff but the second pro was top notch. I fish there quite often and have a Ranger 620 so know the area pretty well. I advised them both that i was a fisherman and had been there pre-fishing all week but that they were the captain and i was there to fish with them and fish their program unless they asked me. Had no issues with either. Remember there are a ton of good anglers that don't want to pay the pro entry for whatever reason and fish as a co and there are guys that can pay the pro entry but shouldn't. Also dont be shy on the gas money....i gave them both $100.

What about Lindys steak house right around the corner from the Chelsea hotel, used to go there all the time when Bell sent me to Toronto on course. -
I usually buy from Radio World but knew they didn't have any, also called Jose and he didn't have any either but he was excellent to deal with.....thanks for the help

So...i'm looking for a Gen 2 Touch 9, Get a flier from Bass Pro about their big sale. I call them up so they can reserve one for when i drive up on the weekend...the clerk says we don't have any and we didn't have any BEFORE the flier??? i ask about the 12 don't have any of those either????? thats a heck of a sale....a little unbelievable isn't it? No wonder i rarely go there with that nonsense. _________________ Don't count the day's Make the day's count

Looks like it might be a handy little tool

Great Pic -
After 30 years I had to buy a new one...the flotation material all separated in the arms and legs and NO WARRANTY ! what a gyp. I bought the 195 and i like it...its the one to buy. If its cold enough for a suit than its 1 piece for me. I stuck with the Mustang because they make good stuff and its what i had. I wonder what would happen if you had a non approved suit and were not wearing it (or just the bottoms) and you got stopped by the "MAN" while on the water, dont imagine you need one on the ice

And this is why...................

Hockey players are the best -
In April heading to Port Clinton Ohio to fish the Cabelas NWT tournament then going back in May for an 8 day fun fishing trip.....absolutely love that place.

Idiotic waste of money....feed someone

You guys are missing out....right now i have no less than 6 Russian girls waiting for me to reply to their email. Thats going to keep me busy

Making a mockery of the NHL..there should be a min standard for being able to play in the game, of course the whole "all star" game in any sport is a farce.
-
Wormdunker.....you can still get to Longlac....you are going 17 to 11, you would not cross that bridge to get to Longlac. It's traffic across the country that's an issue. This is a big deal for sure. There are a number of ways to get to Longlac off 17 but you aren't getting any farther west.
-
I don't think you need to be a pro to buy a fishing "tool" that will help you catch more fish, we could apply that statement everytime we purchase a new Finder, rod or lure for that matter. I have had nights where it helped me catch a bunch of walleye and it was priceless those nights.

World Juniors - Canada's play so far
Yellow Fever replied to lhousesoccer's topic in General Discussion
Well...it is Switzerland's 2nd game in 2 days.....but they are not playing as well as they need to to win gold, on the other hand Canada is playing for gold in the underrated Spengler Cup -
Well....if your a Bass guy you may need 2, when I Walleye fish I drop the Talon and use my bow mount at super low speed to keep the bow facing where I want.
-
Well ...I have a 12 foot on my 620, bought it from Radio World. Be prepared for all the non-fishermen to ask "what's that thing" and all the fishermen to ask "how often do you use your Talon". Being a walleye fisherman I don't use it a ton but it's pretty good the times I do
