Precisely. And yes, I have had this happen a number of times, mostly on an ATV hauling a trailer on rough terrain. Tighten the nut too much and it is a serious PITA to remove the coupler from the ball. Leave it too loose and you already know what happens. But a bumpy ride can loosen the nut off, all by itself. I did not know that one could possess game fish without a licence, but that makes sense. If I give a feed of fish to a friend who is shut-in due to a health condition, she does not need a licence. Not that I asked her about this.... But yes there is more to this story..............

I hadn't planned on using it for ice fishing originally but after seeing how easy it is for me to handle and how easy it is to pack gear I am seriously thinking I just might on the nicer days. I don't think I would even need tracks on Simco except on rare occasions. A six wheel Argo will bottom out and spin in about six inches of snow. I don't know what the snow-stopping depth is for an eight-wheel Argo because I always have tracks on my current one in winter, and had "super tracks" on my old one. You'd be fine on bare ice, or ice with a skiff of snow. NOT fine in deeper snow, nor slush. Climbing an icy slope is tricky with either bare tires or tracks, but less hairy with tracks. Tracks will increase by a significant margin your Argo footprint on its trailer. Basically, if you did not get a trailer that would accommodate the tracks, chances are high that a tracked Argo will not fit inside the box. (Assuming here it is not a flatbed, like many skidoo trailers) HTH Doug

WHY would the game wardens be checking out somebody's cottage??? COs have a lot of work to do, without checking up on cottage owners who may have somebody else's fish in their possession....and BTW why would they suspect this? Definitely more to this story than what is written here.

Yeah, I tell people there is more of me to love..........😁 I did a seafood chowder a week or so ago that started with my home-smoked side bacon, cut in chunks, and a whole bunch of bacon fat (from the same stuff, sliced and fried in the frying pan), then I sauteed the onions and celery in that. A very fine start to a mighty tasty chowder, even if I do say so myself! But it ain't low cal and it ain't low sodium!!!!😲 Doug

Chiming in here again, Cliff. As you will recall, I have a lot of experience with these machines. Some good, some bad. My dealership here in Kingston told me about a week ago they are no longer going to sell or service Argos. They can't get parts or after-sales service from the manufacturer and so did not sign on for their dealership renewal. This leaves me in a bit of a pickle, since I can't basically do any of the service myself. It is wonderful that you have a dealer that knows their stuff, but if they can't get parts.......................I am hoping that this is just another covid-related bump on the road, and I will find a dealership close enough that I can get service when I need it. Have you been REALLY stuck yet? When you are REALLY stuck with an Argo, it can be a spiritual experience! 😉 Doug

100%. I have had a bunch of them over the years, two piece and one piece. I tried both pants and bibs for the bottoms. My current (and probably forever) set is a bibs bottom and a good top. There is no way to put this delicately, so......... if you need to take a leak when you are fishing, you want to be able to take Willy out without getting undressed. Some suits make this pretty difficult, unless Willy happens to be a foot-long.................🙄 Salus is a Canadian manufacturer, and their gear is excellent. Doug

Yep, good skookum medicine, 12 gauge slugs. I always figured my first round would be double aught buck for a shot to the head, hoping to take out the eyes and maybe get lucky with a brain hit, then 2 slugs to the boiler room. When we camped out on Great Slave East Arm a few years back, the 870 Marine Magnum was beside us in the tent............

I don't believe I would be up in the woods WITHOUT packing some kind of heat. Probably a 12 ga, first round 00 Buck, next two slugs. And no warning shots....
