  1. Six #5 trebles, all snelled in a line about 2 feet long Seriously, I see flyfisherman down there, guys putting jigs/flies/roebags under floats...the occasional spinner being tossed in...take a walk down there and watch for a while...you can learn a lot
  2. I removed a pole once...on hwy. 11....with my truck. Hydro sent me a bill for $2800 for replacement and installation.
  3. Nope...just another story without pics....I don't believe you have a friend
  4. The Causeway Bait and Tackle shop sells maps with hotspots marked on them, and will usually give you the heads up on where the bite's been hot. And most of the "views" that you see are adbots searching for keywords. But you certainly made for an interesting intro
  5. Way to go GCD Want my old Humminbird LCR? Reeeaaalll old school Maybe you'll catch even MORE fish!
  6. Very good post, Kyle...thanks for sharing...sorry for your loss
  7. Wow!!! Do you think we'll be able to catch'em from shore in front of your place, Steve? Or is that just a Spring thing? I got some circle hooks just beggin for a big strip of salty sucker meat
  8. Totally hear ya, Randy! The ketchup bottle I move back and forth so that when it finally comes out, it doesn't hit in one spot....but I can't figure the relish thing out...will try shaking it like someone suggested. But I don't buy those bottles...only use them when I'm forced to, at classy occasions
  9. Honest...she was sitting on the couch right beside me and said it! I wouldn't lie to you, Dawg...
  10. Laker Jessy (my lovely wife, who found her love of fishing at the same time she found me) says that she got hooked, and I quote, "because of the way I jiggle my rod."
  11. And I thought I had run out of drool...
  12. Awwwww yeaahhhhhhh!!!!!! :D Nicely done man...you thought you were obsessed before....HAH!
  13. definitely a ton of lakes to try within a 1/5 hr drive....instead of hitting lake after lake looking for the big score...pick one that looks "fishy", that's close to home, and work on it. Multiple visits to one lake are goign to yield more fish than one visit to multiple lakes. And...sorry for your luck with the PM. Maybe that person just takes a while to check their inbox? Maybe they are being inconsiderate. But seriously, pick the closest lake, or the one with the cheapest boat rental, and focus on it. The fish are in there...you just have to try a few different tactics...sometimes it's as simple as changing the colour of the lure you're using
  14. havent' checked the regs lately, but our fishing license used to allow us to catch snapping turtles. Turtle soup, anyone?
  15. Welcome to the board, Chandru You may find that asking for spots--especially spots for native trout on the credit-- has a bit of a low success rate. Here's what I can tell you about the Credit and trout: 1) Pay attention to the special regulations and access areas...most of which are posted, but check your regs summary as well 2) Start scouring the net for info....it's out there...I've done okay by googling and driving. And walking. And fighting off biting ants Good luck!
  16. Sounds like a pretty good report...but I'm at work and can't see the pics Will check 'em out when I get home...I've got the same bb camera, and it's amazing! Just curious...you portaged the tinner? By yourself? My $0.02 for the wind troubles --> DRIFT SOCK! Sooo worth it
  17. Friday?! Hah...I procrastinated right up until Monday
  18. Holy guacamole!!!! Super impressive report...totally worth the wait...and something tells me Eddie's gonna be in business for quite some time
  19. I was wondering where you went What a great trip...thanks for sharing the bits and pieces with us
  20. Way to go, Sonny Good luck tomorrow!
  21. COHIBA -- the original Cuban cigar...black and yellow box/wrapper...just make sure if it's going to be stashed in his tackle box for a while, to wad up some damp paper towel or sponge, inside a ziploc bag with the cigars...so they don't dry out. The cigar shop usually has handy little moisteners for that purpose.
  22. ROTFL!!!!! Very nicely done...thanks for sharing...just made the last half hour of the day go by a LOT quicker!
  23. Mine changes from time to time...currently my PB pike from what just might become an annual trip to Temagami
