  1. We really need to step it up....trailing by 500 votes....and a new challenger is only 125 behind....we can do it! Just wondering...can you only use the email address referrals once? If we all use each other's addresses, do those count? We could pool them all here (or in a pm) and add them to the list every time we vote
  2. Duct tape is good --- Gorilla tape is better! Solo is right -- you can make do without a saw/hatchet. If you don't believe him though, get one of those bucksaws that fold up into one single aluminum tube. All the components come out of it, as it forms half the frame. Will cut through anything. DON'T get the plastic handled, folding bucksaws....the blades heat up and snap far too easily. Even if you think you're being careful.
  3. We gotta crank up more votes....Hastings refuses to settle down....spread the word people!!!
  4. Good stuff....heading to Temagami for opener up there, and it will be all lures for us as well
  5. Way to go for posting this Wayne....I was coming on here to do the same! All you guys on twitter and facebook can get bonus votes too!
  6. Very nice stuff there....were you strictly using lures or did you try live/dead bait?
  7. Nice to get out and get that first fish dinner of the year...well done!
  8. Woohoo!! Thanks Joey
  9. Lots of guys use the blue ikea bags....I like my big MinnKota bag though HAve never tried it under the front of the boat....interesting.....

  11. Fantastic shots....thanks for putting that up
  12. Well played, sir...well played
  13. That's great -- congrats on a trip you will never forget!
  14. That's what this site was commonly referred to "back in the day".....a bunch of guys sitting around the campfire sharing stories.
  15. I've seen the most success for bass and eyes on the smoke/purple flake. I'm surprised the ones you have dried up though...I just keep them in a big ziploc and they do great. I like that the colours don't bleed either....I keep a mixed bag with a little bit of everything in it and they all retain their colours
  16. Great stories on this thread! Looking forward to the next installment, Pikeslayer8. And Solo...seriously?!? I'm looking forward to the day we finally do a trip together...your stories blow me away.
  17. What an adventure!!! For the first few paragraphs I was seriously on the edge of my seat, afraid to read further...very very glad to hear that it got better! And man oh man are those ever some nice brookies! Solopaddler comes through...by paddling solo
  18. That pike must have been a pretty good battle.....I'm assuming you were using fairly light tackle. Nice job man!
  19. Limey is class all the way. Except for when he posts walleye through the ice while we are still on softwater in November....or April. Or when he posts tank smallmouth in April and May. Or when he posts pics of launching in his backyard and catching muskie in view of the house. Man that guy really burns me up!
  20. I was going to say Rebecca's as well....my parents like to go there for a treat. There's also Windermere house....I know that's close to you.
  21. Really nice slabs there, Steve...and you have lost a ton of weight! Lookin' good
  22. Really well written....thanks for sharing the moment
  23. Super cool...that is the good stuff right there
