  2. Learn how to run my Ranger, and put some Erie fish in the live wells. Hopefully Dan can help with that, we have arrangements????
  3. That is a very good example of oxidized gelcote. The finish can be restored by wet sanding IMHO. You just got to get sanding. It will be a heck of a job, but nothin good comes easy.
  4. Done, guy's he is over a 100 votes behind! Let's get crackin!
  5. I made the mistake of playing this for my wife.....guess where i'm sleepin tonight?
  6. I hope for your sake she hops on up home!
  7. Do not spray anything on it! You can do a labour intensive, but very effective procedure called wet-sanding. For very detailed instructions send me a PM and I will send you a link to another board that has a very active restoration forum.
  8. Thats only because we can't tie the noose fast enough..... But then again, I'm so far out of the loop, I didn't even see the rope
  9. As a back up motor, the 9.9 is a better choice IMHO. However if you go with a Minn-Kota with a high thrust, you might be alright.
  10. Think of it this way, IF you needed it to work, at that time would you be worried about the cost of it? And if it did not work would you regret the extra money you spent getting a proven tool? I have a mustang inflatable and put it on when I line up for the ramp and take it off when I pull the plug. It is very comfortable and I do not notice it when I am fishing.
  11. Yes I am sir. It is not the first time I have done this, but sometime the obvious is overlooked. Thanks for the reminder.
  12. I have done that procedure adnauseum, gone through three water cooler containers of water, it gets to 20 pounds and sits there with an occasional jump to 40 pounds.
  13. Looks like a fun day!
  14. For cancer research, check out this thread: http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=51642&st=20&p=560699&hl="fish-a-thon"&fromsearch=1entry560699
  15. I am having one heck of a time getting my water pump to prime. It is a deep well system with two lines going to the well. I changed the foot valve this evening and the pump this morning, the question I have is: The device that the foot valve screws into, is it specific to a pump or is it universal? I am talking about the "jet" (venturi) that is on a jet pump. My well is 36' deep, the line is at 34' formerly 35ish. I am really scratching my head on this one guys. Any help is appreciated, I NEED a shower
  16. Sponsor me, (and others), in the Fish-a-thon
  17. I own a 2004 Jetta wagon TDI and think it is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Apparently the motors were changed the following year and are not as good??? I get 800 - 850 kms on a tank and it costs ~$60 to fill. As well, the oil change interval is 12,000 km, at $80 a pop. Works out cheaper than a dino change every 5000 km. Bear in mind every 120,000 km you have to change the timing belt and water pump, around $400 - $1200 depending on where it is done.
  18. I am waiting for JohnF to let us know the real reason...
  19. WOW! I love seeing old tackle.
  20. http://www.abc.net.au/news/events/japan-quake-2011/beforeafter.htm The sheer magnitude of this disater is breathtaking.
  21. Guys like you just irk me. Great snag! Steelie, you may want to look at Mountain Equipment Co-Op as well. They have some very good gear.
  22. When you look at the time line for this, it has gone quite quickly IMHO. You disclosed the sad news 5 months ago, and now they are at the surgery determination already. All in all I would give kudos to our health care system, except for the ridiculous pill cost. As for the tax returns, isn't that what accountants are for?
  23. Watching the news, I realize that getting out on the water is not as important as we think.
  24. Wait till the water temp is at least 40 F
