  1. Aww, that's too bad, 'cause the GTG isn't till June 25 - 27...... Like the Dawg I'll do my darndest to be there as well!
  2. Well, just got an email from my sister, my neice is back from Hati. She is a Paramedic and volunteered to go there and arrived the day after the quake. She is going to have some stories to tell us I think. We were all quite concerned when the aftershocks hit but she was in a safe place at the time....or so we were led to believe. It is weird to watch the news and see your niece on it.
  3. No offense was taken.
  4. If you read the original post, I was not bemoaning the fact that I had signed a long term contract. At the time of signing I had every intention of holding on to the phone I have. However in my case the situation has changed, and I need to adjust. I have a phone that I will not need now because I am being supplied one by my new employer, and I was enquiring if anyone knew a way to break the contract at minimal cost. It turns out there is not. So be it. Now the challenge I face is to come up with a solution to the situation that is now at hand. Pay out the contract.....$400.00. Transfer it to someone else, ....they get stuck with a 3 year commitment as opposed to the two years left in my current commitment. Keep useing it and have it added to my expense account,... employer must be willing to do this. Have my daugther/son/wife start using the phone for the balance of the agreement. Change it to a pay as you go, not sure if that works as well. Like yourself I am a long time Bell customer....35+ years
  5. I agree with archer try to find one with the clip on stove, as well if you have the power to pull it, look for an Apache hardtop/hard side trailer in good condition. We used to have one and it was the best thing since sliced bread! When looking a trailer over, check the floor from underneath, the wood floors can and do rot, as well if the canvas has any black spots on it - stay away. That is the beginning of mould, to replace the canvas is sometimes more expensive than the cost of the trailer itself. Good luck with your search!
  6. Perhaps my new employer will take it over.....
  7. Hey I got a TDI I want to try out next week......in Ontario
  8. With the new job that I am going to have, I am supplied a blackberry; this makes mine redundant. Is there a way of getting out of the contract? That is relativley painless????
  9. That is scary, 'cause that is what I am doing. I will be taking delivery of a TDI wagon tomorrow.
  10. I'm thinkin' the Mr. Mercer is gonna have something to say about this...
  11. I'm gonna go the econbox/full size route. My van will pull the ranger, and yes GCD I am aware if I wanna play I gotta pay. I knew that going in.
  12. Bump 'cause it deserves it! Hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. I need to find a fuel efficient vehicle to act as a daily driver and tower for my Ranger 370V. I have just been given a new job in which I will be driving about 25-35000 kilometers a year. (15-21000 miles) I would like to park my full size van or sell it, but it is the only vehicle that we have that can pull it right now. Any ideas???
  14. I am not sure which way I went, on the way in I took the route around Montreal..... on the way back I went through the interior of Montreal and took the 20. I went through a tunnel and then over a bridge. Nice town and the scenery is great! I will have occasion to go there again soon, so perhaps I will take you up on your offer.
  15. I had to do a run to Drummondville and back yesterday, and I have to say that the "reckless" Quebec driver is wrong. They do drive very well there. I found going through Montreal during the afternoon rush was a decent experience. One thing that impressed me was the fact that they do not rubberneck at accidents and other visual distractions. As well, lane disciple is very good, the passing lane is just that, a passing lane. They switch out and switch back in, its great! The transition from the 401 to the 20 was striking also. I went from a snow covered passing lane to a clear path of ashphalt two lanes wide. This is during a snowfall! Kudos to Quebec.
  16. When one looks at the fence that extends into the water I think it is a pretty good clue that it is a fish farm. I have seen similar setups by mussel farms in PEI.
  17. Make that two people who are curious. I have heard a lot of good things about synthetic oils.
