  2. Nice to see you got the family up there. Thanks for the report !
  3. Truly amazing specks ... its just awesome to see fish like that ...
  4. Thats how it starts ... Abbey was my first fly in as well based on Mike's input, now into my third booking and each one just gets better ... I find 1 week of fishing these remote lakes you really get to practice and hone your fishing skills. The fact that the fish are so plentiful allows you to experiment with different techniques that you might not necessarily have the confidence to try or learn.
  5. Absolutely amazing Drew ! That was a National Geographic report ...
  6. I will probably use splitshots after I use up and lose the pencil weights that I bought, I don't think they are any better other than the ease of pinching the line in the eyelet. The splitshots you just need a set of pliers for securing ... depends on your PITA factor. I am sure the dropshot experts will provide some better feedback.
  7. awesome stuff .... gotta love jigging for lakers

  16. very cool, never knew they would be so old .... that fish is an oldtimer
  17. You did what you had to do ... thos Loons can be nasty, I saw one swim underwater right up to the dock i was standing on and snatch a duckling that was following its mother , what ensued was pure mayhem, but the Loon won and the duckling was gone, nothing I could do standing on the dock , i was surprised that a Loon would do that
