Atlas Shake & Cure has always worked just fine for me, I spread them on wax paper, easier to get them off and into small jars for the freezer.

And do it in the fall after the last outing. no point in leaving dirty oil in the motor all winter. Bearings like clean oil. Then do your axle bearing and lower unit at the same time.
