  5. not to confuse you but some of the motors that are 12/24 have 4 wires run to the motor were the 12/24 selection is internal to the motor and a 2 wire 24 volt will fry the motor. Check to see how many wires are in the feed line to the new motor before energizing the circuit. Art
  6. How can their be peace and quiet if you are there? Yea I'm jealous. Art
  7. The also add alot of drag when you are getting up on plane. After you are on plane they are out of the water. You have to turn the whole motor to steer them which after doing all day wears on you. Bow mount all the way I say. Art
  8. Actually they do a very good job enforcing the rules. I was issued a ticket a few years ago because my fire Extinguisher was in the red zone. I could complain that they should have let me slide because it was on the boat. The truth is though if I had needed it and it was flat what good is it? It was my fault for not checking it before the season so I believe it or not was happy I got the ticket. When they show up in an area they go from boat to boat and check everyone for compliance of the rules if you are not correct out comes the book. I wish they were not spread so thin we see them on average 4 times a year in the places I fish but the helicopters are always near by for a rescue if it is needed. On a side note I have been checked up North at Nipissing a few times and found the MNR to be just as professional as I expect them to be. Visiting all of the boats in the area and even cautioning me while not a ticketing offense my U.S. approved life jackets were not legal because the did not have the Canadian approval on them. Art
  9. Now alls you need is a pinto to complete the set. Art
  10. I had the pleasure of meeting my local DNR last Saturday. He pulled up with the bumpers down and I asked him what would he like to see. He said everything you can show me without dropping your pants. He called out 5 items and checked my paperwork and license then we chatted about the fishing for a few minutes. I sent them on the way with a soda and a big thank you for their effort and time. I was glad to see them out on the water and I am happy they are around to keep the peace and enforce the rules. Art

  12. I sent a P.M. to Bassman 11 and told him to contact Entropy to discuss this. Thanks for checking and we can let this one drift back down the line.
  13. Don't worry about the color of the unit Dave just put it in the purse that matches the boat and they won't know the difference. If you post a few screen shots from it I will help you figure it out. Art
  14. I should have known you had already covered that base good deal Lew. Art

  18. Without the foam a boat sinking out from under you is even scarier, and it is illegal to remove it it changes the rating of the boat and structurally it is weaker. Art
  19. Great story thanks for taking the time to post it John. Art
  20. WE are at 72 F here and the topwater bite is working well. We are using the soft frogs and finding good hookups. Some of the popper lures with the single hook were still hit or miss. This is for Bass down here that are in season though. Art
  21. It is amazing how the prize table fills up from all of the generous donations from those that show up. We also like to thank our sponsors that have been very generous also even when they can not make it to the get together. It seems every year everyone gets a little something for their enjoyment no matter what place they come in. So if you have something for the table new or used feel free to bring it with you it will find a new home and you can be sure a smile from it's new owner. Don't forget to bring your appetite T.J. and the crew cook up a mean mess of fish. Art
  22. Your welcome it was a pleasure to serve and to all of those that gave their life for the freedoms we all enjoy we salute you. Art
  23. I have had both and if you are not going to be hauling it far and you have the room to leave it inflated the pontoon gives you the ability to sit above the water and even use an electric motor on the larger ones. Art
  24. Yes the marine has the same protection. I store over 145 gal of fuel between the 3 boats and it is the best for the job. My large boat has twin 318 and an aluminum fuel tank. So far in 4 years no water has been found in the water separators and the fuel from last fall was not varnished or discolored. I am betting over 40,000.oo worth of motors on it with my mechanics blessing. Art
