  1. I just wanted to preserve this comment for the height of stupidity of the poster. I can't believe in this day and age of education that this horrific prejudice view is still present between these two great nations. I live down here and the statements he has made I find are not true and are founded on poor information and are not realistic in a global economy. I am sure the company that won the bid is taking the best care they can of the information and honoring the contract between Canada and the USA. Art
  2. I got the same as drifter on both a jet boat and a ranger both have traveled 1800 round trip to Canada and they never moved an inch and they are literally 3 seconds each to tie down or release. Aret
  3. Brian I just got the go Pro Hero 2 and the features are worth the extra from the original. It comes with a program you can use for free and download from their site. You might want to go to the website and look at the requirements of what your computer requirements are it is a pretty memory and resources hungry program. I am learning now how to do time laps but so far it is beating me.... I also found if you get the motorsports system instead of the outdoors system (both retail at the same price) it is cheaper to then just order the headband then you get 2 kits for less money. Art
  4. Happy Birthday to you Joey hope you get to do lots of cool things today. Art
  5. Things are going well lots of farm stuff done and off to a Japanese steak house for dinner. Fishing in the A.M. and then Mothers day. Art
  6. The technical name for that in the plumbing world is "Schmoots" and it is $225.00 to snake the drain out. Art
  7. Pull the starter rope slowly to get the flywheel turning then pull a little faster it will light off with little effort. The spinning of the socket will tighten the magneto on to the point of being a real bear to get off and can shift the crankshaft. Art
  8. We all have judgment points that we feel are critical to finding our social nitch. We do it every day in life conscious and subconsciously. The triggers may be less noticeable like what they do for a living you could be sharing a beer with a lawyer (no offence intended) and until you know he is a lawyer he was a great guy. You could be fishing next to a millionaire and until he pulls out his $300.00 fishing rod and his $40.00 cigar he was an good buddy. He then pulls out a second $40.00 cigar and gives it to you he is now back in your good graces. Now that we find we judge people with all of our senses the easiest one is sight. We judge everything constantly we hate that car we like that dress we think that person is bad because of his tattoos or least we go there they have a genetic signature that is easy to identify. If you dislike someone because of a cultural belief then take the time to find out if they even follow that belief. I have an Asian friend who loves to talk like a redneck just to mess with people when he gets the stereotype vib. The main root of prejudging people is to raise the level on which you stand. To support your self's worth in your eyes this is good for your esteem however it is a two edged sword judge to harshly or to often and others will see that you are beneath them for this action. Talk to the person for 5 min. then figure out if he is a positive or a negative in your life. It will keep you from missing out on some great friends and hopefully avoid the ones that truly are beneath you. Art
  9. Personally I wear cotton underwear when I practice Catch and Release it works as well as the gloves do. The one advantage of the gloves though is they are easier to get wet. Art
  10. ooouch no wonder I get so many P.M.'s from my friends for help. I wish I could tell you why there is such a price difference....but I can't. ARt
  11. We have a Blue catfish we have caught on average once or twice a year for the past 4 years. We named her Fluffy from a scar she has on here back looks like cotton. She averages 2 to 4 lbs per year and it puts her at 48 lbs if she shows up this year. Nice fish but kind of dumb she falls for the big chunks of shad every year.lol Art
  12. My hunting story was I saw 3 deer come down a brush trail from an awkward direction from where I was sitting on the ground. Any movement would have spooked them for sure. I had my body sitting against a tree turned from 6 o clock to 11 oclock with the scope up to my eye waiting for them to clear the brush for the shot. As they worked there way down the brush keep them hidden till I finally had my shot I opened my other eye to check for a clear field to shoot and the buggers were 20 ft away from me. I was using a 270 so shooting them that close would have messed up a lot of meat so needless to say they walked or actually ran because I cussed at them for getting to close. Art
  13. I haven't come across that in the areas I have been but you can bet I wouldn't order any food with the word mountain in it since my order of "Mountain Oysters" and found out what they really were. Art
  14. Next time don't let the bird get so close you done shot away the eatten parts..... Nice bird thanks for sharing. Art
  15. It's funny about regions around here they are called mudcats and most consider them to be even below carp on the eating scale. Now Chanel cats and blue cats will hit just about anyone's table here for food. Art
  16. A big man just walked back thru the door. Art

  18. My favorite is when you are lifting the rod up fighting a fish and you lift it into the cherry of a good stogie and PING BYE BYE..... Art
  19. I sure am glad I don't have to get a bug forecast before fishing down here. I would almost give up fishing I think.... Art
  20. I had a really painful hangnail and had to cut it off all by myself with no Novocaine. Did I win???? Art
  21. I have a place on any of my boats for anyone who gets down to my area. I just would love to return the favor and friendship you all have shown me. Art
  22. Redrilling will raise it higher and it's ability to read will be compromised. You will need to redrill the mount lower. You can try to drill the shaft from the top then take a cabinet screw with a square shank head. Drill thru both sides of the top mounting ring and down thru the shaft. Drill the hole slightly smaller than the screw except in the top of the ring slightly larger than the micro head on the screw. Then screw thru the ring to the bottom so the bolt can be replaced. Use a water proof epoxy on the face of the crack before you screw together and let dry. If this fails the transponder you have can be purchased on line for around $65.00 good luck with the repair I hope it holds. Art
  23. On a cool and overcast day I felt the strong pull to hit pond X. All in all there were lots of 1-3 lbers that came to the boat but these are some of the better fish of the day. First fish was on the second cast using a storm 3 inch live swimming lure this one found a white frog to be his choice of breakfast this picture doesn't do justice as to how big this ones mouth was. A white spinner bait was the key to getting this one to the boat. The tape measure on the side of the boat is from Lake Nippissing the red part is the slot limit for walleye. I wish the numbers were easier to read. None of the fish were weighted just a quick picture and back in the water to be enjoyed by others. Art
