  1. John, this pump mentions an adapter, and comes with one? No idea if the walmarts up there carry them, the ones here are pretty good about ordering things though. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Shoreline-Marine-Lower-Unit-Lube-Pump/35259578
  2. I caught a lot of fish on mepps and rooster tail inline spinners, never a fan of the hooks on either.
  3. Usually I fished until Thanksgiving here, but once October hit the focus was more on the Lake Erie smallmouth action. The St. Lawrence is also famous for it's smallmouth and if you start catching 4 - 6 pound smallies on spinning gear it can be a lot of fun! Just some thoughts, never fished the St. Lawrence and we have nothing like it here with that current, I can't really picture largemouth sitting out in that current unless they are on food and can't find it out of the current. Just from watching videos like the bassmaster elite series it seems pretty rare for them to be sticking big largemouth out in the current, smallies yes and just from my experiences from fishing Erie this time of year they also will school up, it makes it easier for them to corner baitfish.
  4. Clam Outdoors™ Dual Tray Jig Boxes : Cabela's That might give you a rough idea of the cost?
  5. Hope it helps!
  6. One of my buddies won a tournament here in early December ripping a blade bait off the bottom and letting it flutter back down in weed pockets on a flat that wasn't deeper than 6 feet. This time of year locating them maybe more of an issue, they are probably still feeding for winter and will probably be following food, they may be deep or shallow. Years ago I had a good shallow bite working for largemouth at Pointe Au Baril in mid to late September, a couple days later they were hanging out with the smallies in 20 feet of water? food?
  7. I don't know about mice chewing on gel coat, but they may chew on any electrical wiring they can get at. I have run across a couple of cars with chewed plug wires.
  8. I don't think would play bumper boats with ones that much bigger than mine?
  9. As I recall when they shrink wrapped the boats at the marina they used this to provide ventilation. https://www.lowes.com/pd/ADS-4-in-x-100-ft-Corrugated-Perforated-Pipe/50163593 wrap an old towel or rag around it were it makes contact with your gel coat.
  10. LOL, yep no sense! a tiller! https://www.boaterexam.com/canada/education/preface-en.aspx Ohio Boating Laws & Regulations | Boat Ed® Your boating laws aren't much different than ours, which may be the reason for the 40hp motor? I was tooling around in a small boat with a much smaller motor though when I was young, gives a kid a chance to gloat? dad's car, my boat?
  11. http://www.lakeeriefishingderby.com/2018-standings.html Them shore fish keep getting bigger, I thought a boater would have had the lead by now.
  12. LOL, an 8# walleye fights just as well as an 8# sheephead!
  13. LOL, Dan MS has had me walking like a drunk since 2004, I don't need to add alcohol! I just look at what my kids buy and get a buzz.

  17. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/clam-corp-dual-tray-jig-boxes Maybe BPS?
  18. LOL, at least they spelled Pickerel right?
  19. LOL, I remember seeing the charter captain with the blind group on Lake Erie trolling for walleye, even they caught them.
  20. I have no idea what marine stores you have up there, one of the ones in my area lists this product. BLUE SEA SYSTEMS 40A Marine Grade Short Stop Circuit Breaker | West Marine Does it have to be an exact match? One of your marine stores may carry them?
  21. I haven't really been able to fish now for about 15 years but when I did it was mostly for bass here stateside. Usually in shallower water and around a lot of heavy cover, flipping and pitching small or light lures. My main set up for that was a 7' 6" Falcon flipping stick that was set up for spinning gear, spinning rod eyes and handle, with a 70's era Abu 507 semi closed face spinning reel. I was using 17 - 20 pound test Stren original mono line and my lure weight was usually 3/16th ounce or less, most of the time 1/8th ounce or weightless. That reel would still cast those lures well with heavy line and never any line issues, also a great night fishing reel because of that. Open water on Lake Erie smallie fishing? usually a 6'6" to 7 foot spinning reel with 8 - 10 pound test original Stren, the last reel remember was an Abu center drag and a mix of rods. For casting spinner baits, cranks, and the like an Abu or Shimano bait caster, same for trolling.
  22. Brain lock, up at PAB casting a spinnerbait by cattails and over weeds, and then I see a very nice pike swimming right at the boat, and realize I no longer feel my spinnerbait either, too late! it opens it's jaws the spinnerbait comes out and it swims away. LOL, no steel leader and it had the whole thing, a hook set probably would have cut the line?
  23. jimmer, no idea how the walleye fishing works on Lake Ontario or even on the north side of Lake Erie, so it might not be a workable plan? One of my brothers was much more informed and equipped for walleye fishing on Erie here, but the fall spots don't seem to have changed much over the years here since the rebirth of walleye fishing here. A fall frenzy for walleye on the north side of Erie?
  24. LOL, ya Akri, the one on their website does look a lot better, even with a Yamaha on it. If I was spending my money on a boat I wouldn't want it decal-ed up like a clown car. Now if someone wanted to give me one for a 30 buck investment? I could probably live with it. I remember some years ago guys from the board used to have a meet and greet fishing expedition at the Bay of Quinte and catch some hog walleye. You would think a tournament like this one might be popular in that area? 4k entries, and the entry fee is basically chump change? If you wanted to increase tourism and extend area resorts business season? A lot of people might be interested?
  25. LOL, but the price is right? 1 walleye? It just has to be the biggest one? They updated the prize list, some serious cash for 2 - 5, and even 1st in the kids division gets a boat.
