Good luck Shawn, I know how much that back has been bothering you. I hope it goes smooth and you have a smooth recovery.

Deano, do you know where you got those brackets?
-
Neither of those places have what i'm looking for. I found one place that can get me stuff, but they'd have to special order it all and so i'm thinking it will be more expensive than it needs to be. Here is what I am looking for: Winch Post - with a bow stop bracket Keel roller brackets Bunk brackets Most places only have the parts for the trailer (jacks, tires, bearings, lights, etc...) but I am looking for the stuff that holds the boat. Any other ideas?

My brother and I picked up a half finished boat trailer. This winter we plan to finish it for next year. It will just be carrying a 14 foot tinny with a small motor so the trailer doesn't need to be anything special. We still need to add all the stuff to hold the boat (bunks, rollers, winch, ...). Where is the best place to get all this stuff? I know princess auto has some of it, just want to make sure there isn't a cheaper place. If anyone knows of a scrap yard that may have some of the brackets and stuff for this that would be good. Basically we just want to get this trailer finished for as little as possible. We could probably make alot of the stuff out of scraps but it would be nice to have proper brackets. Any input is appreciated! Thanks Evan

AMAZINGLY SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES 1. If you are choking on an ice cube simply pour a cup of boiling water down your throat. Presto! The blockage will instantly remove itself. 2. Avoid cutting yourself slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold while you chop. 3. Avoid arguments with the Mrs. about lifting the toilet seat by using the shower. 4. For high blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins. Remember to use a timer. 5. A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button. 6. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives, then you will be afraid to cough. 7. You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape. 8. Remember: Everyone seems normal until you get to know them. Daily Thought: SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES. NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.

I know. I wish I could make that much money to suck at my job.

Good to see you guys were getting some fish. Too bad the musky was too camera shy to get into the boat for a photo .

Welcome to the board! You came to the right place. This board is FULL of information and people willing to help you out. It has helped me out a ton this year! I can't help with your question about Ashbridge's Bay but your line change should help you out with the loss of tackle. I'm also a programmer...well, I sit at the computer and think about fishing all day...nice to see people in the same profession on here.

Wow, great looking fish! Congrats!

Ya he definately is a great teacher and the day flew by so fast. Let fishergirl know I had a great time visiting. And yes, thank you SO much for the goodies, their going to be put to use saturday, lets see if I can put something in the boat with them. Everyone, if you see a post from fishindevil to hook up and you can swing it you won't regret it! You'll learn lots and have fun at the same time.

Nice buckets! Glad to see you got into some fish considering the conditions. We were on Pigeon and it too was pretty unfishable.

All summer i've been seeing fishindevil's offers to take someone along with him and it had never worked out, until today. Woke up bright and early and made the treck up to meet him at his place. We were either going to hit Sturgeon or Pigeon but we knew it was going to be windy. Sturgeon was already built up pretty bad so it was a no go so we thought we'd give Pigeon a try. It too was pretty rough but we gave it a go. It was tough to fish and we only managed some small walleye and bass. But this being one of my few times walleye fishing I was able to learn some good techniques. We called it a day early and headed back to his place. I'd like to thank fishindevil and fishergirl for being so warm and welcoming me into their house for coffee and some WFN action! It was great, and we got some good fish talk in! I think we spent about 3 hours just chatting. Thanks again fishindevil, can't wait to hook up again! Evan p.s. If you couldn't tell, I love your boat

That would explain why it sucked.

I was using it for a little while on a spinning reel. It was my first time using braid. I liked the sensitivity but found it frayed ALOT on both my reels. I like power pro alot better.

Thanks for that! It was a great read. Too bad i'm not going out this weekend

I think Pro Gear is closed now. Not sure what happened to it, but now its just an empty building.
