  1. Wow, that looks pretty cool. I'm definitely going to give that a try once it is back up.
  2. Nice colours in those Science World pics.
  3. Very nice! I agree with Brandon, the second one stood out for me, as well as the one with the boats in the ice.
  4. Went for a drive today to try for some winter pictures, here you go. More Sizes More Sizes More Sizes More Sizes
  5. Lew, I'm not sure which lake is Angus Lake, all I have to go by is google maps and they only label a couple lakes, but 10 miles south of Temagami is pretty darn close! It could have been! Evan
  6. I'm just wondering where people take their photos to get printed. Whenever I get 4x6's done I just take them to Walmart and get them done for 19 cents, they are good enough quality for her scrapbook. Recently though we got some printed to hang on the wall, even the 4x6's just don't look the greatest and we have a couple shots we want bigger. Has anyone found a place that has good quality printing for larger photos? I know it depends on the resolution of the original image, most of mine are 3264x2448 so even after cropping they should be decent. How big can I go before it will start loosing lots of quality?
  7. For those that like the canoe picture, I was able to dig this one up last night as well. More Sizes
  8. I took a drive today to try see if a fresh snowfall would present me with any decent shots but didn't have much luck since the snow refused to stop falling. Here is the only one I got today that I liked. More sizes I looked through a couple old cd's I had laying around and found some pictures taken at spot I go camping up north near Temagami. I had forgotten about these, including one of my favorites! More Sizes More Sizes More sizes More sizes This next one is one of my all time favourites. Its of my dad taking one last paddle the night before we packed out. I have this one in black and white hanging downstairs. More Sizes
  9. Ya, that is awesome and well deserved! Must be nice to make some money doing something you love!
  10. Nice pictures! The one with the man is nice. Nice of him to sit still for multiple exposures .
  11. I have to agree, those are some great shots.
  12. Thanks guys! I really like the birdhouse one to. I showed my mom and she didn't even realize she had a birdhouse back there! Here's another one that I am starting to like more and more every time I look at it.
  13. I like the one of the church. Something about that angle stood out to me. Good shots!
  14. Went for a walk behind my parents to play with my new camera, here are a couple of the good ones. Hope you enjoyed. Evan
  15. So I just got a new camera this week and want to get a tripod. I have NO idea what to look for in one. Just thought I would see what you guys suggest for things to look for. Not planning on spending a fortune on one, but I want something that will be stable and sturdy so I know it won't wobble or fall over. Thanks! Evan
  16. Played around with photomatix a bit...came up with this after about 5 minutes. Looking forward to playing with my new camera i just bought.
  17. Heres a picture I took off my sister's deck this past weekend. I was just playing around with her camera, now I think I need to get one of my own. First time trying to make a picture look good...not nearly as good as you guys yet though!
  18. Well I might as well chime in here...i'm in Waterloo...when you thinking of going?
  19. Even here you can get 300 yards of 50 pound and under for under $30...just gotta shop around.
  20. I have taken a couple button bucks and does... I would use conservation as my reasoning, but really its just because their the deer that walk in front of me first . One place I hunt has ALOT of people hunting around it waiting for the big bucks and I have only ever saw one large buck there in about 5 years of hunting it. Maybe thats because everyone was taking the big bucks and there hasn't been any good genes in there for a while. The only bucks i see are 3 or 5 pointers, always a different number of points on each side. Its gotta be the genes in the area, because about 2 miles down the road last year a monster was shot just down the road from me, although it had an odd number of points as well (i think 19). I'm not sure what the best thing for deer conservation is...with my 5ish days of deer hunting a year i take whatever comes in front of me first that we have a tag for. So...be watching December 10th for a report to find out what decided to walk in front of me first that week LOL
  21. I just went with whatever felt right. I new I would need to switch hands after I cast but it just felt better. Also, what Lew said is right, they aren't as hard to learn as you think. Beginning this year I thought it would take me forever to get using it, but I was wrong. Just make sure you practice with something heavy enough (3/8 ounce and up I found worked best to learn). And like Lew said don't cast a mile. I set the spool tension so that the weight dropped smoothly and not fast and out of control. Then I put all the breaks on and the cast didn't go far, but thats ok. Once I got the hang of it I started lowering the amount of breaking tension I had on until I felt I couldn't control it. Within about a week I was fishing with it, mind you I did get some birdsnests the first couple of times. The last half dozen outings this year I didn't get a birdsnest at all. Good luck! Once you get used to one you'll love it.
  22. I'm sure its just something is not connected up properly. If you explain how you have all your components hooked up i'm sure we can figure out whats going on.
  23. Looks like you guys had an awesome time! Shawn is an awesome guy, a day of fishing flies by on the water with him! And nice fish!
  24. Not sure if this helps, but mine was doing some weird things, like when I clicked a message another one would open... I noticed there was a link at the top right called "Older Version" when I clicked it everything went back to the way I remember. If you can get logged in I would suggest trying that! Evan
