  1. 1. If you catch a rock bass on a weedline it probably has underlying identity issues. True or False
  2. Forget about the testing. I think we should have a program where all rods must be registered. This way the police would know in advance when rolling up on a residence there could possibly be criminal activity and to check the freezer.
  3. The beautiful blonde server with the killer Louisianna accent from the roadside diner in the Catskills. You'll know its her when you mention you are from Canada and she'll smile and say "oh, youse from Ses-satch-she-wan?" thanks gents.
  4. I'll be there with my 5 yr old as well Ron.
  5. Too bad Paul reads the board, you just blew your "mailman" cover...
  6. If it wasn't for my HP keyboard with its perfect key alignment, my innovative HP mouse with the degree laser - no ball design and HP Tcp 3-21.2 LCD monitor with button id display I would not be able to type the three giant words below..... I agree Lew.
  7. hey Paul, thats better then a kick in the arse! Cool hats.
  8. 98% of the time I just pull out the phone and make sure they can hear me.... "Hey Greg, is bass in season, I just saw a guy keep two, I thought it was closed?" "It IS closed, thanks for confirming that, I'll call the MNR" Most the time I use this phone deal on the piers as guys fish with 2 lines all the time. I've learnt over time it is pointless as most of them do not speak enough english to understand. So i call the tips line.
  9. I kinda like: Winnipeg Pikes or Winnipeg Marble Eyes
  10. Done deal. http://"http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/story/2011/05/31/sp-nhl-winnipeg.html" "Organizers said ticket prices will range from $39 to $129 per game, and a drive to sell 13,000 season tickets would start this week."
  11. So am I, we might as well boat pool and save gas. Where we meeting?
  12. I was just going to fire up my online tackle/gear sales again, guess I'll hold off for a bit. On unions, I am mixed. I see both the pros and cons. However, I am gearing up for a long drawn out strike or lockout here in the City of TO next year. Both Cupe unions contracts expire and there is a 700+ million short fall the same year..... hold on for the ride....she's going to be bumpy!
  13. Hey all, thanks a lot for the very encouraging words. It can be pretty intimidating going up in front of those folks when you know they are going to be hammering hard questions towards you. Not to mention the dozen cameras. Hopefully we can bring the fishing world to primetime TV if we get aired. We'll see how its edited too. Thanks again!
  14. I was thinking knock off right off the bat, but the hooks threw me off. After reading your original post again I see you changed the hooks. So my gut stands, knock off.
  15. Love the first shot. "She ain't pretty, she just looks that way"
  16. Not very smart at all Ron, I would of at least sold the advertising space to shimano. Kudos to you my friend. Bad Ron, Bad Ron, Whatya gonna do, Whatya gonna do when the whole force come for you.
  17. Most Carrot Sticks have now been turned into Tomatoe Sticks.
  18. My young family and I love hitting the beach in Cobourg during the summer. I was hoping to bring a rod with me this year and see if my 5 and 3 yr old could hook into some perch in the harbour. In light of this news Ron, we will be considering another locale for our weekly treks. Thanks for the heads up.
  19. Hi Michael, my lil gal Cassie and I will be there June 11. Gonna bug Sedge.
  20. Almost impossible....UNLESS....someone could bottle up the scent of me fishing a Tournament on Stoney lake and spray it on your lures. This will rid you of any serious problems with the bass.
  21. The above statement and what Lew said about the sharp hooks are probably the reason Bucktail. I used to over set when I started using braided lines 13 yrs ago. Now I sweep set "twice", every fish. Second sweep is not as hard, but I still do it. I was ripping my hair out back then on Simcoe watching giant smallies to come out of 20 feet of water and destroy my jerkbait only to lose them on the hookset. I figured out why and now I've dailed it in. Good Luck.
  22. Not all, but some folks buy "lots" of lures off ebay and re-sell them. It is actually a half decent business. Buy from the States or Asia a few lures at a time and when you have a solid "lot" of them you sell them off here and on other site classifeids. Others either have hook ups with distributors, reps and/or manufacturers themselves. Or buy at clubs/shows and resell. I have seen stuff I have sold show up in some classifieds before, right after purchase. Doesn't really matter where they get them from as long as they are not stolen, if it's a good deal grab it!
