  1. Fins, You are less than 2 hours from the Massasauga PP and you can rent a boat the Woods Bay Marina right around the corner from the park.
  2. Beer cans from Lakair TJ!
  3. I am always on cast away from the big fish! I have the name on my boat as well.
  4. With Father's Day fast approaching, here is a video that commemorates all of us Dad's! A Dad's Life
  5. It is funny how people are so quick to throw certain companies such as Legend under the bus. Their hull issues were back in the early 1990's and they changed vendors for their hulls after all of the problems. I own a 2000 17 foot riveted Legend that was built by Smoker Craft who also make Starcraft and Sylvan. To the best of my knowledge these are all quality boats as is mine. Jedimaster, i did Google your two searches and came up blank, so perhaps more research is relevant in the future before giving a company a bad name in a public forum?
  6. Josh, My only other comment would be to go full windshield for the big water. It gives you a lot more protection and usually comes with a stand up cover and side curtains for the really nasty days. I have been on GBay on many bad days and was greatful for this!
  7. Careful Spiel and Roy and the mods will come after you for picking on someone
  8. What did the baby seal order when it walked into the bar? Bartender, I will have anything other than a Canadian Club!
  9. Young One, try this link:http://www.cerka.ca/catalog/TIREWR.asp
  10. That was quite the weekend adventure that you had! Why would anyone grow "potted" tomato plants? ;) :D
  11. Wayne we import through MSC all of the time and recently sent a container to the middle east at a cost of $4500 for a 20 footer. If you need a contact send me a PM
  12. Adam I bought a new winch from BPS last year and it came with a seatbelt type od material which was what I had on the old one. It works great with my 2000# boat.
  13. Mike, I deal with a guy from the Beaverton area and just had my 3rd cedar hedge hedge planted by Vince. On his price list he sells 3' to 4' cedars for $6 delivered and $7 planted. I live in Newmarket so he might charge more for your area, but given the number you need, it might be worth a call. His name is Vince and is number is 705-426-1867. Tell him that you spoke to Warren because he was just at my house today planting a 9' hedge.
  14. Guys, I wasn't saying to dump it on someone else, I said to fix it up as best as he can and get rid of it. The cracks shown in the splashwell were minor. The big and visible issue with the boat was the bow in the transom itself. That is visible to any buyer. The advice was to not bother with the repair himself.
  15. Wendel, It is a great time of year to sell a boat. I would fix it up the best that you can, putty up the cracks and paint the entire area. You should also replace the prop and lower unit casing for appearance sake. I would not hang onto that boat, it is an accident waiting for a place to happen. A few comments: The boat is 9 years old so you should not expect a manufacturer to honour any type if warranty. Put yourself in their shoes, how do they know what the boat has been subject to and exposed to? Based on the photo showing the skeg, I would say that you hit something at a good clip. This may have caused the cracks. If the boat sat all winter and hot and cold, the expansion and contraction would cause the cracks expand. These cracks are minor because the area is just the splashwell for the transom. If the transom has a significant bow to it the wood under the aluminum is probably rotting and needs to be replaced. This is a huge undertaking that requires professional knowledge. I would not attempt to do this on your own.
  16. I had a similar problem a few years ago and got hosed by a Vet in Newmarket who wanted to operate on my dog. I called the breeder and told her what was happening. She got me into the Vet where her dogs and pups all go, Allandale in Barrie. They did a quick Xray could see no blockage an did a barium swallow. The result was that my dod had Ferinjitis (a soar thoat). I was given a liquid medicine for her and walked out with a bill under $300. Since then we take our dog there for yearly checkups which cost no more than $200 with heart-worm pills and any vaccinations. I highly recommend these folks!
  17. if you are in the GTA I highly recommend taking it to Topgun Marine at Hwy 89 and Hwy 11. Paul the owner is a great guy and won't rip you off. The price you were given seems awefully high to me.
  18. Ho can anyone dispute this? Look at the photo:
  19. I wish this post would go away now. It is 17 pages long now and be around for months. Another example of the fishing bored in the winter. Next thing you know people will start writing country and western lyrics here!
  20. Good luck, I think you will do weld! I hope nobody flames this post.
  21. Milton is a new incinerator and the 407 domes are oil storage away from the refinery in Oakville.
  22. Fish_Fishburn, I have 3 year old Michelin Primacy tires and paid almost $200 a piece installed and would not recommend them. They do not track well in rain and snow in particular even though I was told that they were good. I have always been happy with Michelin, but not this time. I drive a Mazda 6 dedan. Fish_Fishburn was simply asking for opinions on which all season tire was the best and went into detail on why he does not want winter tires. I don't understand why so may people replied with their opinion on why he has to buy winter tires? There seems to be many people on this board these days that take over threads with their own opinions that completely side-track the posts. The guy asked a simple question and does not need a lecture as I've seen in many other posts. It really brings down the quality of the board in my opinion.
