I heard one guy who was there say on the news that they didn't realise anything was wrong until their lines down the hole started to move to the left, as if being taken by a current. Of course it was the ice moving and not the current. I don't understand all the negative comments either. Many a time I've watched people at Gilford walk across a plank or pallet to get from the solid ice on shore, across the open water to the solid ice on the lake, myself included. Geez, do you think enough drives changed numbers and colours this year. Hard to figure out who is driving what at first. Tony is now 14 and drives for Stewart-Haas Racing, red and white, Old Spice and Office Depot. At least I look better in red than orange

Thanks for the info Sam. When we were out on Sunday, in a foot of slush, a truck was out there trying to get moving, in a foot of slush. Sometimes I wonder where common sense has gone. If anyone sees it, let me know Glad everyone is okay. Joey

Maureen, we are dealing with ice damming right now also. We removed the snow from the roof, took off the eaves and broke off all the ice and icicles and drilled holes in the soffits, but it was still damming up. Just last weekend we decided to put a fan in the attic and so far it is not dripping anymore and seems to be drying up. That is only a quick fix until we can get to the problem head on once the weather heats up a bit. I believe a "whirlygig" on that section of the roof, for venting, is what we'll have to install once spring hits. Our shingles are in good shape also, so that is not the problem. Venting is the problem. Hope some of these tips help, but the fan was the major fixer in this situation. Joey
