  1. Well he said he did Memart, personally, I didn't see it Joey
  2. No, I kept him in line today Wayne, but he did keep calling out your name periodically, then cried like a baby and went into the fetal position. We talked him through it tho. Joey
  3. Just a super day Terry. We just ate our perch and it was delicious. Thanks again for the Pike. I have special plans for that. Are you sure Paul caught perch, didn't you give him that one to hold Joey
  4. Met up with Terry out from Gilford today. It was a tad bit cold this morning as can be seen by my lovely mug of hot chocolate. Perch came in schools, on and off all day. As soon as I heard the boys say here comes some fish, both watching their respective fishfinders, they hit. Mostly small but there were some keepers. This is one of the smaller ones - not a keeper, kind of looks angelic in the sunbeams lighting up my clam Terry thinks he has a nice big jumbo on, then realizes it is bigger than a perch. Finally he yells out its a pike, and figures he'll not be able to land it on the light tackle he has. Play by play pics and like a pro, Terry lands her Paul and Terry yakking. Me out of my hut for a short moment. Then Terry gets a nice perch, biggest of the day. My take home fish. Terry taking off after a lovely day of fishing. Got home and started to filet and my cat had other ideas. He sat there from start to finish and ate about 2 whole perch sushi He's my best friend now. The bag on the left is the pike (Thanks Terry ) and the bag on the right are the perch. Going to get the pan warming in a minute ready for a fry Hope we see you out there again next weekend Terry. Cheers, Joey
  5. Those are awesome Cliff. You sure look like your dad. Joey
  6. Apparently, according to Paul who says I drive him nuts with this, is I tend to say: I think I have a fish on, or I might have a fish on." He jokes and says "So you think you might possibly, maybe, perchance have a fish on, or not." Otherwise, I also go "oop, got one." (that's for when I definately know) Joey

  17. My thoughts are with you right now. I just had a similar scare myself. My mother was not feeling well for a few days. She called New Years day to say she was now throwing up blood. I rushed over and we decided to call an ambulance as she felt weak and thought she might faint. Before they took her on the stretcher, I helped her to the washroom and she passed out right in my arms. I'll never forget the look on her face. Her eyes were still open, but she was not there, just a limp body. I tried to hold her up but she was just crumpling to the ground. I had her under the arms with my arms and called for the paramedics in the bedroom. They came in and took her out of my arms and carried her to the stretcher calling her name the whole way, but she wasn't responding. They took her vitals and her Blood Pressure was WAY too low. They had to stabilize her before they could transport her to hospital. They told me to leave and they'd see me up there. That drive was the longest one of my life, with red lights lasting alot longer than normal it seemed. Her diagnosis: Massive bleeding ulcer. She lost half her blood and needed 3 litre of blood and was in the hospital until yesterday. She now has to take two different meds for that. The cause: Aspirin and blood thinners she was prescribed after her stroke. She's only 69 and needs to figure out a whole new regime. Does she take the aspirin and blood thinners to prevent a stroke and continue irritating the ulcer? Not sure what the next step is. I feel your pain right now and hope all turns out well. Family is the most important thing. Joey
  18. Congrats buddy, that's fantastic news Joey
  19. Wow Mike, outstanding report and pics. Happy New Year to you also. Joey
  20. Well there ya go, that explains it. We had a good chuckle anyhow It actually is a pretty cool stapler. Thanks Joey
  21. I make them also, in-lines and spinners for musky and pike. The start up cost is quite considerable, but once you start making them, you only have to refresh your supply every so often. I suggest you buy the Musky lure making kit from Luremakers.com (around $60) first and you will get enough supplies to make 6 lures. Then you'll know exactly what you need for in-lines and can order from the catalog after that. You can branch out to bucktail spinnerbaits after that. Joey
  22. Oh Terry, that's scares me just to read that. When we meet up again this season, you go first K?? C'mon cold weather Joey
  23. Ya, but they don't make staplers Wayne
  24. Wonder who else they would be referring to if not made by humans? Aliens, Monkeys??? My mom got a stapler for xmas and this was the label on the box. Joey
  25. Sorry to hear that Tom. 86 is a pretty good age to live to. Our condolances to you and your family. Joey & Tybo
