  1. Glad some others were able to step up with the answer. I am far too young to have known.
  2. Good, now can we get back to the things that matter. Trashing hockey teams, pick-up truck brands, tiller v console.
  3. Ya, I've heard Lake Winnipeg is real bad because of that.
  4. Frogs are also have restrictions.
  5. Don't have to drive too far before an extra 4 bits for a lure is chump change.
  6. My grandparents weren't born "here".
  7. Too bad that by the time I'm infront of a real computer I won't have a chance to say what I would like to.
  8. No problems on my Android phone. I'm just worried I'll drop my phone in the drink and won't be able to call in sick.
  9. Usually they are out but not at peak, really depends on the weather between now and then.
  10. Thanks guys. U-haul rings a bell. Thanks for the pm Brian, I will shop around.
  11. So the plan is to get a gently used vehicle that will be used to haul our expanding family around and tow a boat. Where does someone get a hitch installed besides the dealer? It will be a 7 passenger suv. I'm sure I've seen it discussed here previously, but I couldn't find it in my searches. Thanks guys.
  12. Slept till 10am. I've been fighting a bug all week. I hope to sneak out tomorrow morning for some small stream jewels.
  13. The question that was asked and has so far gone unanswered is: Did the lottery lose money? If this is the case, does it make financial sense to run a lottery that may lose money? Should the money and resources used to run the lottery be redirected to more effectively benefit our outdoors? These are not difficult questions.
  14. As one of the few political voices we, as an outdoors persons, have it is in our best interest to get answers when there is a question as to how much money is, or isn't, generated to protect and enhance our outdoors. Like it or lump it doesn't wash. Profit and loss statements are often more about what isn't there... not what is. If you are asked a question and don't answer it, people then start to wonder if something is amiss.
  15. That is what's referred to as a political answer.
  16. Hope he had his licence, unlike that other guy.
  17. I'm not clear on what you are asking when you say "terrestrial flies". Do you mean flies used for fishing? Or diptera specifically? Or flies/bugs in general that do not spend part of their life cycle in the water ? Most that I can think of do float. Although it might be more accurate to say they are not heavy or strong enough to break through the surface tension of the water.
  18. Come on Randy, now that you got your ride home you can say it was TJ.
  19. Agreed (to a point), this was on a 7 day fly-in trip and often we were eating two meals of walleye a day.
  20. Cube the walleye and wrap in bacon. Stick it with a toothpick and throw it in the deep frier. Doesn't need sauce but tobasco, bbq sauce or maple syrup were nice.
  21. Good point. Has anybody tried? I may start another thread.
  22. Would the new unit with side imaging not come with a ducer that does?
