  1. We travel through Kinmount several times a year and always thought that was an old drive-in theater up there in the woods. Never really payed much attention to it but good to hear it's such a nice old place.
  2. Thanks Roy, interesting that this is the only site I'm having issues with.
  3. Canadian taxes alone will occupy any money a traveller may have Paul
  4. 4 times today when I tried to visit this site I got the message that it was unavailable. Same message we were receiving awhile back when this site was down. I've also noticed it sometimes takes awhile for the site to open for me while others are basically instantly. Just me or are others having issues too ??
  5. Thanks Dan, that's exactly what I'm looking for and my order has been placed.
  6. I was actually wandering around CTC yesterday and looked at some tow straps that I could maybe use if a friend or neighbor slid off a snowy country road and needed a pull out. They had a couple 20 footers with hooks but they were only good for about 3300 pounds. Another I saw was 30' and good for something like 6000 lb. but was looped on either end and I figure I'd need more hardware to attach them and ended up not getting anything.
  7. Been there done that and it sure isn't pleasant, took surgery to fix my problem but I was feeling 100 times better the day after the surgery than I had for the whole previous year. Hope they get you fixed up as well Kelvin.
  8. Yup, it'd be good times Kelvin, but if we ever decide to make it happen you'll have to meet me up on Nipissing as that's the only place I fish anymore.
  9. I've been driving for 54 years and have been towed exactly one time when I blew the alternator on a car. Just curious what the heck your doing to be towed so often ??
  10. Sounds like a good trade off to me Kelvin
  11. Hey Kelvin, bring your G2G to the Kawarthas and then I'll be able to join you guys without having to drive thru Toronto
  12. My 1st boat was a 6' wooden punt Shane, had a 3 HP Evinrude (I think) and my bro and I received it as a gift from our parents around 1958. Fun little boat.
  13. Welcome home, sounds like a great trip you had. As for driving 30 ton trucks in freezing rain....not fun.
  14. ...I'll take it. 46F at 6:00 AM in December makes me smile
  15. It'll be a good night for sure but my days of driving through the insane Toronto traffic are done. It would be bad enough fighting it once but then to turn around a few hours later and do it all over again is just too much to handle. I've only been back to that crazy place once since moving to the boonies 6 years ago and hopefully it's the last I'll see of it. I see about 4 cars a day now and that suits me just fine
  16. We used to do alot of G2G's around here years ago but sadly they just seemed to stop so it's good to see you trying to organize something again Kelvin. If I was 100 miles closer I'd be there for sure.
  17. Some great names there for sure guys hahaah
  18. Nice one !!
  19. Heard on the news last night that Barrie was getting dumped on, or did I hear wrong ??
  20. My wife and I always enjoyed the old drive-ins years ago. We used to often go to the NorthEast on Sheppard west of Victoria Park. It was basically out in the country back then but now it's long gone and it's all highrises. Scarboro Drive-In on Kennedy was another popular place back in the day and the the other one we went to alot was the TP out in Bay Ridges. Maybe it's just me, but things were better back then....or maybe I'm just getting old(er)
  21. Last time I was ever in a movie theater was to see "Close encounters of a 3rd kind" waaaaay back in '77 I just don't have the patience to sit in a seat for 2 hours LOL
  22. What's changed Wayne, we've always discussed everything under the sun around here, that's what makes this place interesting .
  23. Always lots to be proud of with Canada's soldiers
  24. Sad what's become of this once great province, eh Joe ?
