  1. And sometimes I wear my fancy hat Norm
  2. Good to hear Rick LOL
  3. If you've had so many stolen maybe you should be replacing your neighbors too
  4. Snow shovelling is a job I've always enjoyed and unless we get at least 6" I don't even bother with the snow blower. I've got 250' of driveway plus I clear a 50' x 10' path at the back of the house, 75' x 10' up the side of the garage plus I clear off a 50' x 12' deck and enjoy nothing more than spending 1/2 the day digging out. Last night we got about 8" of the heavy stuff though so this time I cheated and fired up the TORO LOL
  5. Actually there were 100's of footprints along the narrow trail and I followed them for probably 1/4 mile and they were definitely sticking to the easy path rather than wandering into the heavy cover.
  6. Yup, definitely possible to be a big dog but as far as I know there aren't any large ones around here. We're well off the hwy and if it was a dog he would have walked a long ways thru the woods to get here.
  7. We got 5-6 inches of snow yesterday so those tracks were made last night sometime....or early this morning. It was mild over night and above freezing today so there was certainly some snow melt.
  8. There's a trail that winds through the woods behind me Rob that goes about 1/2 a mile out to the hwy and this fella followed it without veering away. Nice easy walk for anything and I spose he was taking advantage of not having to step around things. He definitely appears to have had a destination rather than just meandering There was also fresh deer tracks on the trail basically parallel to the others but I don't know who was there 1st and he eventually wandered off into the trees. Anyhoo, whatever the critter was it's good to have the fresh snow and see all the activity that goes on after the sun goes down. Best sighting I've had so far though was this big ole bear that was sleeping in the yard when I wandered out on the back deck one morning.
  9. I read a similar thing Nick, but then as jimmer suggests they seem to be too big for a coyote or even a large dog.
  10. We had a fresh snowfall yesterday and this morning while wandering around the back yard I came across the tracks of several different animals but these ones got my attention because of their size. Definitely canine but they're huge at about 5" long including the claws and 4" wide. There's coyotes around here but not many and I'm thinking these could be wolf tracks but I'm just curious as to what others may think. I had a critter on my front lawn a couple years back about the size of a German Shepard that I'm absolutely sure was a wolf. FWIW I'm 3 miles south of Burliegh Falls These are pictures of 3 different tracks to give you an idea.
  11. Sad when a simple fishing report turns into a pi$$ing match but unfortunately it happens all too frequently around here lately. No wonder so many of the long time regulars are no longer here anymore.
  12. Listen to what Outlaw has to say boys, he's the go-to guy for LSC muskies.
  13. You've got a PM Norm.
  14. I joined in the spring of 2002 and the board had been going for a couple years then but I don't recall exactly how many.
  15. You probably remember my boat Greg, a Skeeter WX1880 It was a bit smaller than that WX2060 your looking at but it was a fantastic boat that handled big water with no problems and with a Yammie 150 it would run just over 50 MPH. Can't comment on any of the others but I can guarantee you'd be happy with a Skeeter.
  16. No big ole musky could ever say no to a big ole black & orange spinnerbait.
  17. Hopefully folks remember that gesture Norm and give that restaurant their business all year long. The fella that owns that place is a class act for sure.
  18. Before spending any money Steve, check the easy stuff first. Be sure the plug hasn't just come loose and also see it the breaker has tripped.
  19. Why would anyone feel emasculated for giving up something they had a fortune tied up in and they no longer had the passion for doing it ? I fished hard for 65 years and now I've had enough. And besides, I now have an extra 400 sq. ft. in my garage LOL
  20. Too bad you weren't looking for musky gear a couple months ago. I just sold off everything I owned including some high end rods & reels, all the musky tackle you'd ever use, a couple tackle boxes, a Frabil/Beckman musky net hybrid and everything in between. Even tossed a 19' SKEETER deep V, tandem custom trailer & 150 Yammy into the mix A few fellas on this board got some very nice deals.
  21. Don't be too concerned with the weight of the reel, I tossed my bigger jerk baits with a 7000 Abu for years and the weight difference with the large reel was negligible.
  22. Guess I should have explained better but I wasn't referring to the original post but just buying tires in general when I suggested buying good ones rather than cheap. Obviously if they're just to get a car to the end of a lease cheaper will do the trick.
  23. Maybe I'm wrong and maybe it's just me, but in my opinion tires are one of the most important parts of a car for keeping me and mine safe and I'll ALWAYS buy the best I can get. I could NEVER understand why anyone would cheap out on something as important as tires. As I said though, maybe it's just me.
  24. Johns a great guy Floatman, he'll treat you well.
  25. I had no intention of buying the tires from the dealership Shane, I knew they'd be highest price but wanted a benchmark to start from.
