Except for trailering to different lakes about once a week, my boat never leaves the water the entire season and is still in great shape. I have good bumpers that hang over the side and also have rubber strips along the side of the dock to prevent any dings. I keep a good coat of wax on the motor to keep the sun from fading it, although the boat cover has faded a bit over the years. Whenever I put it on the trailer for a trip each week, I'll normally give the hull a wash just to keep it nice and clean. No reason it shouldn't stay in good shape while it's on a dock....hopefully anyways. It's nice too having an electrical outlet at the dock where I plug my on-board charger in at the end of the day and everything is charged and ready to go each morning. I spend most of the season up at the lake and it sure is nice to be able to just walk down to the dock and head out fishing any time of the day or night and know the boat is just floating there waiting for me

And Rapala didn't just replace the broken pliers for Uncle B, they also threw in a set of cutters too. I had a similar thing last year with Drifter Tackle. I had a 10" Believer that broke in half when it was hit by a musky and when I notified Drifter about it, they not only replaced the Believer, but they also sent me a 10" Stalker to go along with it. $50 worth of baits to replace one old and worn one. Yup, companies that look after their customers like that deserve all the good press we can give them on these message boards.

I use 130 pound Seaguar leaders on my musky rods. About 18 - 24" for casting rods and 48" on the trolling rods Great stuff !!

Thanks Taper, I appreciate that. I've used those plastic wrenches before but found they don't last too long and end up being stripped. I usually remove my prop about once a month to check for any mono line so I need something that'll stand up.

2001 Merc 4 stroke....90 HP I need to buy a new socket for the prop nut on my motor, but can't remember the size. I'm thinking it's 1-1/16.......anybody know off hand ??

Just my opinion Rob, but personally, I always use whichever oil & filters are recommended by the manufacturer. Myself, I use a Merc motor and so I only use Merc oil and filters in my engine. It may cost more $$$$ but I have peace of mind and know I'm using the right stuff. Some may disagree with me but that's the way I've always done it and have never had a major problem with any motor I've ever owned.

Were lookin at -5 tonight with a windchill of -15 and then staying below freezing for the weekend, so I guess there's not much sense worrying about cutting anything up here for awhile hmmmm, maybe I shouldn't have removed the winter tires and put the summer tires and chrome wheels back on the truck last week

My Crestliner came from the factory with a threaded nylon plug that screws in from the outside and has never loosened or leaked a drop.

I like to add the stick-on weights to the bottom of the bait till you find the proper weight for what you want it to do, then you can do as misfish suggested, and open the bottom of the bait and put the weights in permanently. You just need to keep experimenting till you find the proper weight and position that works. These are 10" wooden musky baits, but the same principle should work with smaller lures.
