  1. Muskies are all I ever fish for and I'm yet to find a nicer spot for them than the West Arm of Nippissing. You can fish up there all day and even if you get skunked, you've still spent the day looking at some of the prettiest scenery you'll ever find anywhere. And to me, that's what it's all about !!
  2. Thanks MB, reading your fishing tales is always a great way to start my day.
  3. I don't have the actually vest in my hands yet, just the notice telling me it's at the post office and I'll be picking it up in the morning. I upgraded from my original choice and went with the Mustang MD3153
  4. Seems like all orders come from the Montreal store Brian. And your right Davey, their prices are good, in fact one Mustang I looked at from CTC was $50 more than LeB's BIG differences compared to a few years ago Joey.... for the better.
  5. I ordered a new PFD from LeBarons in Montreal on Monday afternoon and it arrived in the mail this morning. Pretty good service in my books
  6. Big fat fish, well done !! I was in that exact spot 13 days ago but that large girl just didn't want to come out and play that day
  7. I think a garage is like a boat, as soon as you figure out what size you need, add a few more feet to it all around. No such thing as too much space
  8. Congrats on the fish Steve and good job on taking the extra effort for the revival.
  9. Some of the lumber and building centers sell prefabbed garages that you put up yourself after the pad has been poured. Don't know if their any cheaper or not but may be worth looking into. As for the insulation, it'll be much easier to put it in now during construction, then if you decide to install a furnace later on your already ahead of the game.
  10. Absolutely Roy, I've been storing my boat/trailer on jacks for years.
  11. Your best to refill the lower unit in the fall Davey, that way if there is any water in there it'll be removed and then no worries about freezing.
  12. I've had a moustache for 40 years, if I was to shave it off my daughter wouldn't know me and my wife would wonder who the heck was sitting across from her at supper time
  13. There is NO emergency serious enough that anyone should be endangering the lives of others while responding to it. It's often necessary to get to an incident in a hurry, but you still need to drive in a manner where your totally in control of your vehicle. No matter what the emergency may be, 120 MPH would be totally uncalled for unless your on a totally empty hiway.
  14. Sorry Dave, there's a BIG difference between making a mistake and being a danger to everybody else on the road. That hiway in the video was very busy and that guy could have very easily wiped out an entire family. 120 MPH is FAR from making a mistake !!
  15. If anyone in the Peterboro area is looking for either red or blue Stabil, the CTC on Chemong road still has quite a bit in stock. I was in there this morning and picked some up.
  16. Great job on the carvings Geoff, too bad about the neighborhood bozo's though !!
  17. That's the one Dann and thanks very much.
  18. I agree Roy, and there's an instruction video on the Mustang website that shows the vest being used but I can't get a link to work. The vest inflates in the front plus a full collar that goes around the back of the neck also inflates. It shows the wearer floating on his back with his face held safely out of the water. And for what it's worth, I've decided to take Tomcats advice and go with the Mustang 3153 with the Hydrostatic Inflator. Sure hope I spelled everything correctly in that post
  19. That's a very respectable pickeral Dave and they should be even better next time you hit the bay.
  20. I always pour anti-freeze into my bilge pump lines and circulating pump lines then hit the pumps just for a second to be sure it's distributed everywhere. Infact anywhere you may have water laying in low places you need to put anti freeze. I store my electronics in the house too, but that's just me.
  21. Thanks Mark, seems like Lebarons has some good prices but even with your link it won't let me in. Still something with my Adobe Reader
  22. Tomcat, that one sounds like maybe a better option, but when I tried to get into the LeBaron catalogue yesterday it won't let me. Something about Adobe Reader not working for PDF files. Seems like a few folks are having problems with the other models inflating in the rain or whatever, even the OPP. And KayakMike, good thoughts there, but I kinda like the idea of the self-inflating feature incase I bang my noggin on the way outta the boat and can't pull the ripcord myself.
  23. Thanks Geoff, very generous offer, but when my daughter comes up here to visit she goes right past Gagnons and will be picking it up for me. And Dan, I figured it was something like that. Didn't think you were quite as nasty as Paul portrayed you
  24. $220 at Gagnons in Oshawa Tom, plus $14 for shipping if I want.
  25. OK, I'm obviously missing something here Paul, but it'll definetely be kept buckled up anyways
