  1. I use the Extang on my 150 Mike and it's excellent. Has the 3 folds your talking about, is very strong and pretty well water proof and when the tailgate is locked, is quite secure , but we all know locks only keep out the honest folks. I can remove it myself very easily when required and reinstall it in about 5 minutes. It can be folded up towards the rear window when you want to carry bigger items which is nice. I worked the price of it into the price of my truck when I bought it, but I think the value is around $900 if your purchase it seperately and I think their available from Van & Truck World. You can buy cheaper ones, but you get what you pay for IMHO It's an item I'd definetely recommend. http://extang.com/docs/solidfold.html
  2. That was a GREAT story Cliff !!
  3. You never put the boat away Skip, if there's any chance you'll want to get back on the water before the season closes. Nice weather this time of year isn't the least bit unusual.
  4. I got old on Sunday Skip, so a license is no longer necessary
  5. Outstannding Ben and congrats on a VERY successful fall !! Some extremely nice fish there for sure !!
  6. FREE for the rest of time
  7. As I said before Mike, it's a sad thing to go thru but at least now the hurting is over and he's resting peacefully. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and the memories will be with you & yours forever.
  8. Again, I'll thank everyone for their well wishes, very much !! Sorry you missed the party Pete, it was alot of fun, but I sure did appreciate the VERY long distance phone call.
  9. Any chance it could be as simple as a loose wire on the back of the start button ??
  10. Lots of guys have been reporting poor fishing on the Bay this fall, but it sure looks like you boys did OK. Well done !!
  11. Thanks once again everyone, as I said previously, your a great group. My wife took me out for dinner last night and when I walked into the restaurant, there sat a whole table of my best friends for a surprise B-Day party. Can't beat a room full of good friends !!
  12. The reason many of us seldom, if ever, post musky reports anymore.
  13. Decent $$$$ back in the day Skip. I went on the Fire Dept in Toronto in '68 and my starting salary was $100 week. It was good pay back then but it was all relative I spose. My 1st house cost $17,000
  14. Sleeping's bad for your health Dax
  15. Actually Skip, I prefer old(er)
  16. Hey Skip, back when I was in the Navy in the 60's and stationed in Halifax, a RETURN train ticket from Halifax to Toronto and back to Halifax was $38 and if I was in a hurry a RETURN plane ticket on Air Canada was $96 Today it would probably cost $96 in gas just to drive my truck to the airport
  17. Thanks once again all !!
  18. Can't help you with the sled Jason, but congrats on the move and getting away from the rat race !!
  19. I've been here nearly 10 years now and it's still a great spot to hang out and the 1st board I read each morning.
  20. ESSO over this way actually dropped a penny since yesterday, yet UltraMar, who is always the cheapest in this area went up a penny. Go figure
  21. Thanks for all the B-Day wishes folks, your a good group !!
  22. Thanks guys, I'm really looking forward to retirement Gonna be nice to finally fish for free too
  23. I had a '65 Parisienne convertible that I sold in '73 & I would sure love to get back, infact I've been kicking myself for decades for ever getting rid of it. I know how old Dad in the video feels about getting rid of that beauty !! Mine was identical to this one except I had white seats. They sure don't make em like that anymore
  24. You've had a busy fall with all your preserves Bruce and hopefully you enjoy them all winter long. My neighbor uses elderberries for jams & wines and although I haven't tried the wines, he gave me a couple jars of his jam and it's excellent.
  25. It's a nice fish and who really cares how big it was. Only thing I'm wondering though, is who uses 100# line to fish for pickeral ??
