  1. Very nice Scott and congrats on your 1st boat, she's a beaut !! Your gonna enjoy the extra freedom now that your not stuck on shore all the time. If you haven't had too much experience driving a boat with a larger engine, maybe get a bud to go out with you at the start, just till you get the hang of trimming it and anything else your not familiar with.
  2. Excellent job, lotsa nice detail there !! The little guy is gonna be the envy of the Lego crowd
  3. Speaking of purring....
  4. That's fantastic Ernie, congrats and best of luck to ya !!
  5. Soon as I saw the title of your post Mo, I knew what it was gonna be about. Looks like you got yourself a great pup there for sure. Diane says to go with Brody and I think I'll agree. Congrats on the new pooch !!
  6. Your not gonna believe all the good times you've got ahead of you Mike, being a dad is the best job in the world !!
  7. I use 130# Seaguar leaders on my musky rods because it doesn't kink up like wire leaders.....It's good stuff.
  8. We spend tens of thousands of dollars for our boats and a truck to pull them, huge amounts of money for the electronics to navigate the boat and find the fish, 100's of dollars a year for the gas, much more for the yearly insurance, then boat ramp fees every week and a small fortune for our tackle and who knows what other expenses. The amount of money to maintain a 4 stroke motor over the course of a year, compared to all the other expenses we have, is so small it's hardly even worth talking about.
  9. Christmas is sposed to be fun & merry and I don't think you can have too many trees or decorations. Our home looks like a Christmas Wonderland inside and out for the holidays and I love every minute of it. We're having a Christmas party on the 10th for friends and neighbors and the decorations are going up this weekend. Bring it all on
  10. mmmm, BBQ Will do for sure Dann
  11. Did you ever stop into the barn at Fowlers Corners Meely ?? They've got alot of excellent hand built furniture....Amish I believe....but they've got a huge amount the type of stuff your looking for. Diane and I wander around there the odd time and it's really interesting. Maybe have a look when your back up next year.
  12. Yes we do Brian and I've used it quite a bit over the years. Last couple items I listed here though didn't get any interest, even after a month, so I put them them on Kijiji and they were gone in a couple days. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do
  13. I keep hearing bad things from folks selling items on Kijiji but I just keep on having gook luck with it. I listed 4 winter tires for sale yesterday and had 3 responses within a couple hours. The 1st person who answered said she'd be here tonight and sure enough, she showed up on time and payed me exactly what I was asking. Not really a big deal I spose but this is the 4th time I've used Kijiji this year and every sale has gone smoothly with me getting the $$$$ I wanted. Anyways, just thought I'd let folks know that Kijii can be a very good way to sell things and the transactions often go just the way they should.
  14. That's a good price Mike and I'm thinking their getting rid of their older stock with the full cork butt. I just recently ordered a 7'6" Compre musky rod for my daughter and was told they now all come with a split grip.
  15. It really is impressive just how many HUGE fish this Capt. Clark has put in his boat over the years. The man definetely knows his stuff !!
  16. All my musky rods are Compres for a reason Paul. I like 7' heavy for jerkbaits & 7'6" extra heavy for my casting and trolling rods. Their an excellent rod for a great price.
  17. When I read the 1st 6 questions and had no clue as the who they were, I was about to answer that I only remember the important people, then when I read the rest of the questions, I found that my 1st answer was correct.
  18. I warmed up some frozen waffles in the toaster. Pretty sure the perch would have been much nicer
  19. I agree with Roy about trying to claim a world record. Some of those folks that actually care about record sized fish are absolutely fanatical about it. I read alot of different musky boards and some of these guys darn near come to blows thru their computer screens fighting about it. Jeeez, their still arguing about fish that were caught back in the 40's
  20. It WAS Lowes Roy http://ontariofishingcommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=56450&hl=knipex&st=0
  21. I seem to recall a post awhile back Roy where someone said you can now get them at Lowes, and for some reason I think it may have been GBW Then again, I may be totally wrong
  22. Lots of very impressive fish there, well done.
  23. We never had a company party, but we always had a huge roast beef feast with all the fixins in the firehall just before Christmas. We were all friends so there were never really any bosses. Then we always prayed the bell never rang before we finished eating
  24. That makes the story even better !! Congrats to the angler on a true tanker.
  25. Good way to introduce your friend to muskies Larry, that's couple very nice fish there.
