Overnight winter camping. Any advice helpful.
Shloim replied to Acountdeleted's topic in General Discussion
I have some friends that rent a cabin in Algonquin and walk it in every year! They love it! Winter camping for me is a 3 star hotel... Good luck! -
Simcoe Perch Ice Fishing - Operator question
Shloim replied to gordy28's topic in General Discussion
Ive only been twice, once with Tim hales and it was fantastic, second time with another operator and it sucked in comparison, Everything was better with Hales!!! -
I just replaced my V2 with a cable drive. GPS isn't such a big deal for me as much as being able to steer and gas at the same time, V2 is a point and shoot kinda thing and to add Ipilot you lose the peddle. Call Joselyn at Angling outfitters for help. But the Terrova has a way better peddle than the powerdrive if GPS is important, otherwise get a cable steering model! besides I could never understand the point of the remote unless trolling as you need a hand and pretty much have to look at the remote to use it.

I did pay a guide a couple of years ago, but it seemed very reasonable to me. We had no car were at universal cabana bay and he picked me up, obviously with a nice bass boat, supplied all the gear, I spent another 30-40 on bait we fished for over 4 hours and must have caught 16-20 huge fish. Smallest one was around a 6 lber with a few over 10 for sure. He dropped me off after with a big smile...Well worth the $300 IMO. We fished Butler Lake I believe...

Thames river in Tilbury. Ok irs 3.5 hours from Toronto but it's a nice calm river off of lake st Clair. Silver bass galore mixed in with a bunch of other stuff. Good luck! Otherwise try the Holland river around bradford great sheltered paddling there

So whats the rule of thumb? Or is there one? Things start to turn on at 50 degrees? because I tried for some cats last WE in severn and nothing was biting it was around 47.....

Well I'm still just as confused. Except now I guess I can start getting my head around it. The pros outweigh the cons on this one I think.... plus a buddy in the biz just just told me I can hook a unit up and try it out for a couple weeks as long as I can return it perfectly packaged.Hard to say no there....

Hi folks, was thinking of adding IPilot to my Powerdrive V2 and noticed that I lose my foot peddle?.... But I don't wanna lose my foot peddle..... There is apparently a cordless foot peddle is there not? Thoughts on this as remote only control is not gonna fly!

I have a 16' side console with a 24v/70 on it and my next purchase is unfortunately a good cover otherwise itd be iPilot for sure! there's spot lock, and a follow your track feature that is awesome. If your sonar is touch screen you can draw a line and it will follow it, there is also the jog 5' feature to move over a bit....Saw a guy with the auto deploy feature and he didnt even stand up and was on them! Lets see if Im rich enough at the end of summer then maybe, But its not looking good for this season unless Jocelyn at Angling Outfitters wants to sponsor me? No matter what you decide go see Jocelyn for your purchase and installation, they are the best for a reason! Sheldon

Anyone had a look lately? Is it still frozen or open? Just wondering how long before we can give it a try?

Sorry folks to get off topic but I get a bit offended when I hear negative talk about stoners... as far as medicinal qualities and benefits I cant say enough. Anyone and everyone I know that uses it wishes they had started long ago as their results are unmatched by big pharmacy drugs, minor side effects etc etc etc... S

Ok, Ive kept quiet which in itself is a feat! I agree with it being a choice. We all know the difference between right and wrong and if one is unable to reason that getting drunk or high opposed to doing what you are supposed to, its your own damn fault. I'm 48 and have smoked almost every day for 30 years. If I could, I would do it all day long! But i cant, so I don't. I managed to become a Master electrician and run a successful business that employs 4/5 people in addition to myself. I have 2 kids, 1 in grade 6 gifted and another in a grade 8 cyber arts program. Its my opinion, that the folks that do or did nothing with their lives, would have done the same with or without drugs or booze! Truth be told I made a conscious decision that they would do nothing and distanced myself from that crowd long ago and sure enough... I was right! whoever continued on that path are screwed and still on that path and those that chose a different path are all doing just fine and still smoking! Sheldon

So, tried ice fishing and loved it. So, now my question is which I'd better huts attached to sleds or stand alone huts? Not experienced with either...also has anyone fished KASHAGAWIGAMOG? Thinking of trying it? Thanks all in advance
-
It was a blast! My daughter caught 11 fish! Son caught plenty too, had a super day out in the ice. The huts were perfect, staff was awesome. Can't wait to go again! There was a 1/2" of water around the huts so the ice was slippery so there wasn't much running around to be done but a great day overall!!!
