  3. Thanks Drifter now look at that handsome guy...
  4. Awesome Jedi! How come my pics dont actually show up? just the link
  5. Ok so maybe you guys are right on the entertainment aspect, and the supporting of small business guys is also a draw for me... I have a connection on gear so maybe I'm biased that way. Or maybe its just that Im cheap! Ill consider going next year... Good thread though
  6. http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/Shloim1/media/20140419_121336_zps5fe2f492.jpg.html?sort=3&o=3 This is the yak I sold loved the weight or lack there of of it, but like i said I felt a bit cramped, I wonder if I would have held out whether the cramped feeling would have gone away...
  7. Last year I thought they had a couple on display in vaughn. Different model I think, but a couple propels... Have you tried one? Because the best advice on any yak is try before you buy! I loved most aspects of mine but felt very cramped in it. Sold it when i bought my motor boat, but had a canoe before the yak and liked the extra bit of space for landing fish etc. I want a solo canoe/ hybrid now for getting out on a small lake near my house....
  8. Well it depends how many people ur buying tickets for.
  9. Sail is a dealer and if you find one on the floor, dint be afraid to haggle! Point out some scratches and marks etc. I got taxes thrown in when i bought mt Tarpon 100 there
  10. I went last year and felt like i just paid to go shopping. If it wasnt for my Abu hat that i scored id have felt ripped off! Thoughts folks?
  11. Not just those reasons, im in construction and doing a window well exit/ window in downtown TO this coming week. Tgere are a couple of other variables to consider. One is drainaage indeed changes even that a neighhbour has made can result in water build up that could come in. The other most commonly overlooked is the newly lowered frost line in that area can cause drains and water lines to freeze if below. ive seen concrete heave as well.... Not hard to do but not entirely clear cut.
  12. You csn google how to do or change just about everything. There's also lots of sites woth demos on the phone that show you cool stuff
  13. One of my foremen has one its his second and he loves it. I just got an LG G4 liking it more and more each day coming from I phone
  14. Mazel Tov! beautiful baby...A few more of those and you will have 2 full lines
  15. I think they are likely done. The rainbow loom craze is over and they were stocking them for those. Ive stopped at a few stores and they are gone...
  16. The have them again? They have been out of stock in TO for ages, I got a couple last time and then there were none.....
  17. The Dewalt XRP drills with hammer (yes you can turn it off) are the most solid ones in their line. I have at least 4 drills now and my guys (electricians) abuse them like crazy. But make sure you get the XRP drills and XRP batteries as they all look the same. Also as far as using the drills in the off season for deck etc. I advise avoiding that as it will cut into your fishing time!. Im even thinking about trying ice fishing this year so iof anyone wants company I can be available... just sayin
  18. Awesome video! Id love to try that one day. I think any flight under $300 is quite cheap. Sometime spirit has super cheap deals out of Buffalo and many inexpensive hotels have deals with parking. Driving home afterwards sucks though, we did it once and saved a bundle on a vacation to Jamaica.
  19. Never been to Ocho but the shore fishing is not usually that good, mo bay for instance has low tide in the am and the first 20 yards are very shallow. Ur best bets are evenings from the shore with some raw shrimp from the grill.3" Berkley powerbait ripple shads in bright colours worked well. I used firetiger last time and purple another time worked well. I would try to find a local that can take you out I paid $250 CDN and got lucky as he took me out a second time too for the same money. Good luck! Also bring some cheap spinners or spoons from the dollar store they work well and they will gratefully be recieved. Might be why I got a second trip out from this guy.
  20. Hi Folks I posted a very similar post on another site that makes it easier to post pics but Im gonna give it a try here too! So once again on a Jamaican vacation, I got out with some locals on 2 mornings with my guy Danny Binns in Mobay (I have his cell# if anyone wants it) Our first day out we only got 4 fish and he offered to take me out a second day as his guest! A true gentleman! Well on our second day out we used my 2 6'6" Med rods with 3000 series rods 30lb braid with 12 lb flouro leaders. Well we smashed 16 fish in 3 hours before it got too rough. But what a morning!!! We caught tunas, mackerals and jacks. It was out of control, can't wait to get back http://i1275.photobucket.com/albums/y444/Shloim1/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsiyq42xyx.jpeg?1452474147690&1452474148746&1452474152113&1452474154890 http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/Shloim1/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsblhmymjm.jpeg.html?o=1 hope this works
  21. Almost 3 years for me and I'll never go back
  22. How do we sign up? Id like to apologize to all the other contestants now, and assure them Ill have a great time, catch lots of fish and represent the OFC with honor.... Sheldon
  23. Ok so I took 1 last unsuccessful kick at the can Saturday before making plans to winterize the boat. It was a gorgeous day but the fishing was super slow. Anyway while I was out trying another friend posted the gear cleanup he did. Well my stuff is such a mess and everywhere Im looking for suggestions on unique ways people store their stuff for the winter, wall space is a bit of a commodity and my rods out number the available wall space by far... Lets see your set ups and hear some tips
  24. I was there a couple of years ago and have been a bunch of times before. We saw matilda with the kids, stayed in an air b&b. Be prepared to be outside quite a bit even checking out time square etc. 911 mem. is outdoor too.The land marks are endless, gonna have to take a walk on 5th Ave and Soho (delancy)and little Italy (mulberry st.) etc. etc.... MOMA is a great museum. Hop on and off tours are great, but best when you can sit on top. Like I said Ive been 6+ times and haven't seen it all...
