Anyone want to fish Great Slave Lake with me?
Old Ironmaker replied to solopaddler's topic in General Discussion
No, no, no I'm winning. My niece that is a journalist in NYC is writing my plea. Coupled with her writing skills and me only having a year to live and being homeless I'm in like Flynn. Edit: Mike please rethink this thing. Above is my regular sarcasm. -
Don't forget Brian that that fixture you are plumbing may have 1/2 most likely 3/8 supply to the fixture. So it won't give you more flow, plus the non removable flow reducer at the spout to save water.

There's ice out back here, well icebergs anyway.

I wish you the best. How's that knee? Hope you can do a jig on your B Day.

The wings and 1 beer was 27 beans, plus the 25 bucks in fuel. So what, well worth it, once. You can all come to my place in the spring and watch the Smallmouth spawn from the deck, better prices too! I handed the waitress with the dirty cutlery a %100.00 bill and she wanted to know if I needed change. No I want to put you through University.

I agree that we need to have a humane way to deal with those that have no hope for a life worth living. As we respect the quality of life and suffering of our pets we should also respect our loved ones in the same manner. But I'm sure she will screw that up as well. -
GBG, how can both statements I made be false when the second is not an opinion it is an observation of a friend of mines kid. And he's not the only one I have seen to be similar. I agree that there may be merit in Marijuana use for medical reasons but like any narco product, there are abuses. Would you not agree? I know people that chain smoke the stuff and find it difficult to string along a few words to make a sentence. There can be too much of anything.

There are the "have's", "have some" and "have not's" We all fall into one category. They must be selling 100K Bass boats, and profit from them or they wouldn't make them. We have always had a pay to play economy. To go to a GTG and have 10 chicken wings and 1 draft beer is 50 bucks with a 2 hour drive. You pay or you don't, or I should say you have or have not.

Set me straight. I was led to believe that you are or where allowed at on time in Ontario a property owner could grow a small number of Pot plants for personal use. The pot can not leave the property other than in someones blood system. True/False. What irks me is I see a young strapping 21 year old that doesn't have a job (there ain't no jobs) , sleeps until noon (cause I have a sleep disorder) and plays video games (helps put me to sleep) until all hours of the morning puff on his Medical pot as soon as he gets out of bed. " My Dr. says I need it". More than a few kids of friends actually.

I wonder if any alcohol is allowed? Looks like a large NWT town. And a blast. If it was 30 years ago I'm in. -
I never "got him" until years after he wasn't putting music out regularly. I'm talking 70's and early 80's. Always appreciated the music but didn't like the theatrics until latter as I said. The documentary out recently (2 yrs?) was fantastic. Too young, too sad. He was a great actor as well.

I just made scalloped potatoes for the first time ever a few months back and they were pretty good for a first shot. Tia makes most of the WASP stuff and I do the rest of the world. Thin sliced, and layered with small pads of butter and sprinkle of flour between each and seasoned. Half and half on top layer, cook, 350 I think. When golden brown I checked for doneness. Pretty simple. No cheese. Don't need no stinkin cheese. I can't see my feet this month. edit: next time I'm adding hot smoked Hungarian Paprika.

Fantastic. I'll be Compare and won't even charge you as is traditionally done in Sicila. You have to let us know when the Angel is here.

We used to " air dry or cure " sausages in the fruit cellar for a few weeks until they were dry. Into Mason jars with oil and store for years. It was hit and miss based on the weather, humidity and temp must be just right. My brother Mike took and old fridge and he can dry as may that will fit in the custom racks he added thus it controls the temp and humidity. It works great. He bought 60 pounds of pork shoulder the other day. Natural casings always better then the synthetic garbage. Bass Pro has everything you need to start except casings and meat.

VXP, that's the problem that may be in this, there isn't a draw. The winner is chosen on merit based on an essay after paying a fee. If it was a draw it's simple, apply for a lottery and choose a charity to donate a percentage of the monies raised and go on a road trip, if you have sold enough tickets, if not you lose. If one person is more eloquent and able to express their feelings better than another it becomes subjective and then the fairness is the slippery slope. Who is more deserving? Mike will figure it out, it's early. There is an entire page of Lawyers in the yellow pages here for a county of 45,000 citizens -
I always say when we are reminiscing and someone says "we had some good old times" yep we did now it's time to make some good new times.

We went the winter before we bought our new to us boat. It was like being 18 and going to a Brothel and told you can look but no touch. It was nice to see the new stuff for sure though. No deals though, on anything.

And I was looking forward to seeing what you caught in Virginia USA. You know it's thin ice when you walk by a guys hole 20 feet away and water comes up it. That was 5 years ago on Quinte, maybe 2"s. NFG for me. Good for you Costa, but you know we don't keep anything under 12"s here on Erie. You know I jest, it's actually 10.

No I won't marry you. I tried that once and it just wasn't a thing I would do again. Besides I don't go for guys with 15 kids. Get back to work. -

I have to say it is difficult for many here like myself to post a fish report when we get the brilliantly written trip reports complete with magnificent Hi Def photos and videos. I read them and love them, not just from Mike either. That I believe is one reason guys aren't posting reports as much as guys and gals feel they aren't worthy unless it is Pulitzer Prize contribution. I love each and every one of the reports. Actually some of the simple reports from guys just starting are some of my favorites, I remember how it felt and how proud I would get when I caught my first of a species or personal best, actually still do. Keep up the jabs and snide comments and some of our most valuable and talented contributors may just decide not to share here, come on man. Keep them coming, each and every one, please. -

Hey M2B2, why do you think they make leather seats in vehicles? It doesn't get any better as you have more birthdays. I didn't go anywhere without a change of pants, golf bag, boat, truck, car and don't forget the Charmin. I guess it all Depends. You think I'm kidding? It was a allergic reaction thing. -

A slippery slope to raise capital in this manner. I'm sure you will have it covered Mike. Interesting.
