Great topo map. I saved it. Thanks Buckeye.

I think the change in depth is about 700 feet. The river at LaSalle NY is something like 6 feet deep. The river next to North Tonawanda where we have fished is 15 to 20 feet deep. I won't go that much further down stream. I have seen boats as far down as the "TURN AROUND NOW OR BE ON THE WKBW CHANNEL 7 NEWS AT 11" marker. My Uncle from there thought it was funny to hit the kill switch and pretend the motor won't start while heading towards the Falls, yea funny. He still thinks if the Viet Cong couldn't kill him nothing will.

The poacher was his buddy. It is "alternative truth". A new catch phrase used by a certain leader of the free World.

I have read here that with the proper paper work getting a boat over the border is a breeze, with the right documentation.

I don't like to use the word "hate". But Montreal is not one of the many cities in the world I will go back to. It comes with what most international big cities come with, expensive. You will of course getting everything at a 25% discount with the US dollar. The food is fabulous and the women are pretty, I'll give it that. I would recommend visiting Quebec City instead. As close as you can get to a European city in North America. Plus in Quebec City they won't look at you like you have 3 heads when you speak English or totally ignore you completely. There is only 1 thing Montrealers like less than Anglophones and that is Americans. Please this is my sole personal opinion only based on my own experiences there. I know many people that love the place. I have been there more times than I can count for business only.

dave beat me to it. He's fast. It is Zone 19 Lake Erie. Bass and Musky are closed season there. We got into a school of Perch there and of course went back and caught a cold and nothing else. Somehow my last post about where didn't work. PM me Huzz and I'll tell you exactly where we fished.

Cool video. I was wondering too what was in the Muskies mouth. It brings back memories of my diving days.

If you watched it on You Tube it clearly states it is a hoax. It was a social experiment to see how many people actually read the descriptions, off the comments on You Tube 95% of viewers missed it.

If you see a Tracker run away as fast as you can they are garbage cans. Lund and StarCraft are my favorite boats. I would take a Crestliner but I am not a fan of welded hulls. Whatever you choose it all about the condition of the boat. For 15K you are looking at a 15 year old boat for what you want, maybe older. People with good boats generally keep them. I saw plenty of junk when I was looking.

So far Bell is the only available Sat TV service where I am, 19 years. Now Shaw says they can service me. I know once I call Bell to switch they will offer the world. Shaw has offered service before only to say "no signal". Now they say if I get Xplornet I can get TV. I have Xplornet. I'll let you know.

Does that ice look sketchy to you? When I saw that much water sitting on ice I didn't venture out on it. Especially on a blue bird sunny day in plus temps. 3 deaths this past week under the ice in Ontario alone. If it was today I could come up with a dozen times a shift I could use a drown to inspect the tops of the Blast Furnaces in winter or during a thunder boomer. Maybe more. No one complained in the summer though.

The video's just keep getting better and better. Just don't start selling tires to us. I really enjoy using our freshwater techniques south to catch salty critters. I tied on a Pickerel rig once in Fla and was bringing in Sea Trout 2 at a time. The locals were baffled at first then wanted to buy my rigs.

The exact thing happened to me twice. Both times the dogs were virtually unscathed. I stopped both times. The last time the "owner" seemed to care less. That was as upsetting to me as hitting the dog. I have no idea how both Dogs were not killed instantly.

How many hours on a used motor is OK?
Old Ironmaker replied to Tjames09's topic in General Discussion
I had a remote control in 1960, my little brother. He sat by the TV and I told him what channel of all 8 available to turn it to. -
You have people you have never met that care deeply for you Wormer. You are a special kinda guy. F Cancer

How many hours on a used motor is OK?
Old Ironmaker replied to Tjames09's topic in General Discussion
I can usually tell how someone has maintained their mechanical systems simply by looking at their vehicle and the boat itself. If the boat is a mess and the truck hasn't been washed in a year and is full of Tim Horton cups and McDonalds bags I bet my bottom dollar the maintenance on their engine is just as bad. Not always but it is very rare that if someone tends to not take care of their other stuff the mechanical stuff hasn't been taken care of either. Heck I have called it when pulling up to someone's house when looking at a vehicle to buy. If they care as much about the vehicle as they do their home I don't want to even see it. -
Ice Claims Another Vehical (No injuries/deaths)
Old Ironmaker replied to FloatnFly's topic in General Discussion
Look at he condition of that ice/water. You can't fix stupid. Another thing I have found over the years especially on the Great Lakes there sometimes is a gap between the ice and the water level because of fluctuating water levels. We have quite the tidal effect on Erie that I never knew existed until we moved here. Nothing to see wet rocks with algae on them sticking out 2 feet or more than the day before. The drowning of the Grand Father and near death of his grand son this weekend in Waterford was totally unnecessary. We had ice 200 yards off the shore yesterday AM, now not a single cube this AM. Some of those icebergs were 3 feet thick or more. -

Like Gallie says it's not the hours it how it was maintained. There are plenty of 40 year old, and older, engines that run like new. Buddy Ted has a 60's era Evinrude 9.9 that cold starts on the first pull. He is the one that has shown me how important maintenance is. I know guys that have new engines that run like poop because they run them WOT and don't maintain them or the fuel they run. I have never run any of my 2 engines on anything but hi octane ethanol free fuel. The extra pennies a litre to me makes sence to run the best fuel available. I change plugs and fuel filter every spring and wires every other season. Over kill? Maybe. I want the things to start just be looking at them and I have to look at the Tach to see if my 2 stroke 115 is running she's so quiet. -
Good Rick. I know you know your stuff when it comes to healing. If I was in Brians shoes I would be seeing an Oncologist in T.O. to manage the treatments. Not saying that a St. Catherines Dr. isn't good but I want the best and a dear friend is Bone Cancer free for 14 years now because her husband insisted on the best. She had the same bone Cancer as Terry Fox and went to Mt. Sinai in TO and has Terry Fox's Dr. to get the best treatment management available in the country. He saved her life she strongly believes to this day. You reading this Bri? At least get a second opinion for a game plan from the Jaravinski Cancer Clinic in Hamilton. What do you call someone that came in dead last in their class at Medical School? Doctor. I would want the best available to look at the plan of attack to kick this thing to the curb.

Buddy, we have spoken about this and I really appreciate and value the call as well as your friendship you old dick. Like I said get some of that "Stupid Stick" to smoke. I told you the story of a friend of a friends terminal Cancer going into remission and he is here 10 years past what the Doc's told him was his best before date. I asked Ted if I can get hold of him to find out exactly but Ted says he hasn't talked to him since he moved out east but will make some calls. I don't know what strain but Ted said it was Sencimilia, senci? Does that sound familiar all? I know there are members here that can steer you in the right direction for some med MJ. All the guys I know that had to go through treatments did better than the guys that didn't smoke. Just today on CHML radio they were talking about med MJ, there are so many ways to take it in besides smoking, liquid, cookies, candies, patches. Get on the stuff Bri. I tried some homegrown for my chronic pain and it didn't help me, but I was told it wasn't the right strain. Now get better so I can show you how to catch a fish and beat the personal best Walter I put you on in my boat. Was it 8.5 lbs or has it gained weight? Please guys I know there are many here that know the do's and don't for weed. PM Brian and help him go in the right direction. Please.

I am still trying guys. Over and over again the entire slideshow downloads to here. My OFC site doesn't work as designed in the last 6 months, can't use the quote feature or copy and paste a link like before. The upper tool bar that has Bold, Italics, font etc. plus the window where I am supposed to click to post a pic is on the same upper toolbar doesn't light up, sometimes, sometimes it does. I dunno. I really want to show you all the 3 Pics I caught last year! Yes that is a laff out loud. M2, I think it would be easier to land a space shuttle using your phone. I have nothing that looks like that here on W/10.
