  1. Thanks for the heads up.
  2. Brian, I make larger baits so the colour of someone's #1 Mepps won't help me in this case. Maybe the Stewart car colours would be good though.
  3. I didn't want to make a poll out of this. I don't like polls. But for those of you who target larger fish with larger crankbaits and gliders 8" to 13", what is the colour/pattern you are most confident with. I know there are exceptions and someone will undoubtedly swear by the pink/purple/green bait they have. But, generally speaking, are you more inclined to lean towards a perch colour (natural) or maybe a flash colour like 'clown'. Do you tend to buy/make baits in the same general colours? I've been having trouble getting away from the perch patterns because I like them. What do you guys like to fish with.
  4. I don't care if he's having a slow day at work. I really enjoy those stories.
  5. Yeah, it's hard for him to make ends meet with only a penny a load.
  6. But there are exceptions, Glen. Like the grey triggerfish for example.....
  7. Beauty shot Tomcat. I hope that that walleye didn't put him over his limit.
  8. Pinching the tail obviously wouldn't work.
  9. Joe, this is what it says in the Ontario Regulations booklet: Size limits refer to total length, which is a measure from the tip of the mouth with the jaws closed to the tip of the tail, with the tail fin lobes compressed to give the maximum possible length. Provincial regulations are established using the metric system. If you catch a fish in a restricted size range, you must release it immediately. The conversion to inches has been rounded to one decimal place for the convenience of anglers.
  10. Great report and pics Fidel. Thanks for sharing. Dustin, "à la belle étoile" means "under an open sky".
  11. Gerritt's pretty busy Joey. I'll look at you BBQ if you want.
  12. It's taken as a positive contribution from this angle, Connie. I can see that happening very very easily.
  13. Glad you're doing good Ric. Nice to get news from you.
  14. Great report, Alex. Flounder....such a great eating fish! Glad you had a good time. Hope you and Ric can hook up.
  15. I agree with Dax and Gerritt, the X-135 is probably the best bang for the buck out there. Your "FATHER" should love it.

    Kaby Lake

Are you ready for this recent report? I camped on that lake with my sister 41 years ago. We canoed in from Oba., through Bullmoose Lake and onto Kabinakagami. The fishing for both pike and walleye was spectacular. We were there for two weeks and I can honestly say that I have never since been on a fishing trip where I have seen more wildlife. My sister is 57 years old now and still talks about it. The hot patterns then were Dardevles and Williams for the pike and original floating Rapalas for walleye. :-) Hope this helps. hahahahahaha.
  17. Thanks for the report. Good times for sure. Looks like you did pretty good with the bass.
  18. Dang! Sorry Tony :-)
  19. If you haven't already, you can also have a look at Trojan Tackle. It's high quality stuff also and made in Burlington.
  20. A great read, Brian. Best of luck in the remainder of the tourneys me son.
  21. That's sometimes referred to as the "undecided' hold.
  22. A great report, Stan. You got to love those Reef Runners. If I could only have one crankbait for walleye, that would be it.
  23. Yup, that's an exciting one for sure. I only have two words for you. DUCT TAPE!
  24. WTG Mike and boys. I haven't been to that area in a few years. I used to launch at Noyan. Thanks for the report.
  25. Still looks like an amazing trip, Terry. Finding that in my minnow pail would have scared the poop out of me.
