  1. TOILET!
  2. Bump...sorry about the time delay, Darren.
  3. That's Big Cliff as he really is. And I KNOW. Way to go Bud. You have a great time with that 'new' life of yours.
  4. Well done, Chris! A superb report with super pics! Thank you.
  5. I agree that those units are good. But Van, weren't you building a super sonar unit last year? How did that work out?
  6. There's a height restriction, Brian.
  7. After 1970 model numbers include the HP, as in J33ELUTa. J=Johnson 33=HP E=electric start L=long (20") shaft UT=year code (see below) a=production run The year code uses the letters of the word, "INTRODUCES" to represent the digits 1-0. So the UT would be 73. I N T R O D U C E S 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0
  8. The serial number should get you the year of manufacture on the Johnson site.
  9. Wonderful report Connie. Good on ya for giving the womenfolk a break. That fast water looks like prime post spawn walleye water. And a very happy birthday to Hayden.
  10. HMMMM I thought that their first Canadian store was HERE?
  11. Hey Cliff...try Deer Rock lake.....up highway 41 South of Kaladar... lotsa Pike and Bass...not too much traffic at all....very quiet place.
  12. Man, that's a heavy report, Bud. Looks like you all had a great time. I'm really glad that Ed got the juicer. Sorry to hear about some of the kinks in the trip but I spose that those are part of the fond memories later on in life. J and I were thrilled to have you guys over for a while and I hope we could do that again soon. And yeah, that Scottish/French moon is killer. Marty, it was real nice seeing you, Tony and Papa here.
  13. Ok I'm in.... thanks for looking after it all so well, Rick
  14. Another real good one, Mike. You wouldn't starve up there for sure. Great pics also, thanks.
  15. Congrats to you, Julie! We want PICS!
  16. Ya how IS your leg, Raf?
  17. I must have gotten a bad batch of seeds.
  18. It turns out (after I put on my glasses) is really said "seedless" They're easy to grow though and quite inexpensive.
  19. I've always used regular tap water but you can boil the water first if it makes you feel better. Let it cool before putting it in the battery.
  20. Try Merland Park but you'd better call NOW! OFC folks have stayed there several times and were well served.
  21. Most politicians would pronounce themselves very sympathetic to a cause that in their minds is not urgent and a cause for which blame for failure to repair could be passed on to just about anyone. It's an easy one for them. The politicians will certainly wait for the International Joint Commission to publish their study...then the public reaction...then the proposals for repair. The lakes have time to drop another 60 cms. Well, at least I know it won't be solved in my lifetime. Thanks for the story, Dan.
  22. I suppose you must be right. But I would prefer to sell bibles to choir members than non believers. I guess it depends on your friend's experience as well.
  23. * makes mental note to feed Scugog fish to girlfriend*
  24. The top fishing guides in Ontario (and elsewhere) advertise on our (and other) site for a reason. It's called target marketing as opposed to shotgun. People on fishing sites for the most part are people interested in fishing, finding new places to fish, finding new people to fish with and to share knowledge about fishing. HH, you posted some interesting numbers about about Job advertising yesterday. Almost the very same numbers apply to this business except that the net is on top. He or you can PM/email one of the mods or TJ for more information. Good luck to him.
  25. The problem is that most non-fisherfolks think that all clean fish come from a supermarket. They don't realise that there is no magic, pristine body of water out there. The stuff they get from the supermarket is very often much worse than what you are catching and putting on ice. A lot of these fish are kept in unclean holds and shovelled out only to stand on a light table for a day before being processed. Then they are shipped to the market and can be kept 'fresh' for several days in the store and praps even undergo a few 'best before" date changes before being sold. These sold fish perceived to be fresh are then kept in someone's fridge for a day or two before being consumed. Nah...I'll catch my own from the body of water of my choice.
