  5. An oldie but a goodie! Flynn staggered home very late after another evening with his drinking buddy, Paddy. He took off his shoes to avoid waking his wife, Mary. He tiptoed as quietly as he could toward the stairs leading to their upstairs bedroom, but misjudged the bottom step. As he caught himself by grabbing the banister, his body swung around and he landed heavily on his rump. A whiskey bottle in each back pocket broke and made the landing especially painful. Managing not to yell, Flynn sprung up, pulled down his pants, and looked in the hall mirror to see that his butt cheeks were cut and bleeding. He managed to quietly find a full box of Band-Aids and began putting a Band-Aid as best he could on each place he saw blood. He then hid the now almost empty Band-Aid box and shuffled and stumbled his way to bed. In the morning, Flynn woke up with searing pain in both his head and butt and Mary staring at him from across the room. She said, "You were drunk again last night weren't you?" Flynn said, "Why you say such a mean thing?" "Well," Mary said, "it could be the open front door, it could be the broken glass at the bottom of the stairs, it could be the drops of blood trailing through the house, it could be your bloodshot eyes, but mostly.....it' s all those Band-Aids stuck on the hall mirror.

  10. Get yourself some Energizers from Wal-Mart. I have two 27's for my 24 volt ans so far they are great. They're going for about $99. right now.
  11. You'd better eat up if you want to go fishing again.

  18. Glad you both had a good time Cliff and Carole! That first pic is special. A good one for your team Carole! edit: Oops, maybe not...I just noticed a 47.5" in your team's entries.
  19. Nice looking boat though. I wonder if they had time to rescue the doughnuts....
  20. A fine West Arm fish, Jim. Congrats! Where were you staying this time around?

  22. Thank you but I didn't think you needed to explain that, Bud.
  23. Recycling really works here. We put out the bin and the same garbage truck picks it up and transports it to the landfill. It's a good idea but, for the time being, recycling is not profitable for anyone. Financially speaking I mean. I do the best I can with sorting and whatnot.....vegetable waste goes to my composter... plastics, paper, aluminum waste is sorted but it still goes to the landfill. Most have the NIMBY mentality.
  24. I can hear the swoons from the wimmins of the community from here, John.
  25. If you want to know where to buy the stuff, PM Karl Kalonka.
