That certainly was a worthwhile trip for you and your dad, Mike. I'm sure that it was also worthwhile for the "substitute" guide and your new friend on the river. As for the Friday guide, when all is said and done and the final tally sheet is drawn up, the only thing any of us really have of any value is our word. It really depends on your budget. With high speed ratio I assume you don't troll a lot. Still quite a few using C4s but they're really not well rated. What type of fishing do you do mostly?

A word of caution though Terry. If the cable comes from the southern US, you'll only be able to make left turns.

I've never been very lucky fishing anywhere near PP. I try to stay away from it. I wouldn't recommend fishing near caca either.

Yes they need to keep the shipping lanes open and historically have kept the lanes where I am at 45 to 55FOW. However, to do this they need to regulate water flow from various dams around the Great Lakes. It's looking like they may have very little to regulate this year. We have a water levels rule at the club...I'll be by there this weekend to check that out for sure. We need a minimum of 8' at the docks for the keels....we haven't got that now.
