  1. I'm already a PowerPro user Ron but I was looking at their slick line and was going to wait until enough people had used it to get a good feel for the line's quality or lack of but with this testimonial coming from you, I'll stock up. Thanks.
  2. As little condolence as it might be to you Simon and Junior, mine and J's thoughts are with you and yours this day. I can't believe how difficult this must be for you right now. I just don't know what else to tell you...there simply are no words. God Bless.
  3. Heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time. Thank you for posting that. As for the "tardiness", it's never too late to be reminded that there are good people in this world.
  4. Now there's a meal and a half! Beauty fish, thanks for posting.
  5. WOW! Beauty! And from shore right in front of the cabin too! Thanks for sharing that. Now get working on your report, Mr.!
  6. Sorry to hear about that Chris. I know you both were very close to Arnie. You've seen this coming for a long time now. I know it's never easy.
  7. Bob, if there were 1,000 line brands you'd get 1,000 suggestions on this thread. Here's my suggestion. You seem to favour brand loyalty in your purchases (Fish Eagle II)...you're already using PowerPro for other applications and you like the stuff. Go to your friendly neighbourhood tackle shop and get yourself some of this. It's available in 5, 8, 10 and 15lb test. You'll be glad you did and again, there's something to be said for brand loyalty.
  8. A word of caution here and Mike is probably aware of this and Lew is certainly aware of all of this. For folks who are reading this thread and are inspired to get out for after dark muskie fishing remember, it is not for everyone. If you're a newcomer to muskie fishing, NEVER go out at night alone after muskies. Make absolutely sure that your boat is clean and that everything you need is always kept in its proper place. Ensure that you have all that is required to safely release a fish. Wearing a PFD is NOT optional, it's necessary. Especially at night, it's a good idea to leave your itinerary with someone so that they know your expected time of arrival.
  9. I know a few Afrikaners. Dem doods is crazy!
  10. No, your limit is measured in numbers of fish, NOT in pounds.
  11. His is probably 50 perch with a sport lic. and 25 with a cons. lic. (Simcoe) That's not very many pounds of fillets.
  12. Yes Bob, I'm sure ol' skip only has a few fillets. My comment was made so that noobs to fishing would read the regulations before thinking they could make a commerce of it, yanno?
  13. I wasn't talking to Bob.
  14. You might want to check the regulations then edit your posts accordingly. This site is monitored, just sayin'.
  15. Well ok then Crossover. Mr. Pearson will now get government grants to rehabilitate streams. Is that better? But I don't think that the disappearance of a handful of dace would greatly impact the BC salmon fishery.
  16. Well you certainly have a point on the canary scenario. Unless he's using the bird to land another chick check ....feather his nest as it were.

    Bait making

I was wondering the same thing. Some folks are bashful.
  18. Sorry Rob, I'm having trouble feeling sorry for Mr. Pearson because after ten years of government checks the party's over and he'll have to find a job. The man is the world's leading authority on the Nooksack a tiny dace found in 2-3 creeks in British Columbia? I'll bet every headhunter in the world needs a few of those. Biology is an honourable profession I'm sure but for God's sake learn about human nature. You want to raise money for a cause? First thing Mr. Pearson will need is a name change for the project. No one will ever want to brag about throwing money at someone's Nooksack. Trust me.
  19. What size freezer do you have, Bob. Maybe I should send a memo to the perch community?
  20. You didn't know? Skippy's last name is Popeil. The original pocket fisherman.
  21. They weren't gunna eat it...they were trying to "bump" it.
  22. Handle it with care and there'll be no reason for it to break....usually.
  23. Well thank you for noticing. That's the way it's always worked here. Group hug!
  24. Good info, thanks.
  25. I don't know, Brian...our system of one's word and a handshake has fallen by the wayside.
