  1. My buddy's and myself yesterday on Erie Bass fishing. Beautiful day and my buddy with his bonus Pike catch 41". Caught on a #4 Silver Blue Fox What a catch! Bass fishing wasn't at it's best, but I'm goin to use an excuse, this Pike scared them away Erie, still amazes me with it's Great fishing.
  2. Thanks for sharing Wayne. 1 more video and I'll have it down pat, flying lessons. Now to figure out how to get wings on my boat. Man, Lac Seul or Nipigon would be my next landing Gezz it can stand up, I got fly legs
  3. I guess I just like life a little slower, I'll save my 30 bucks and sit back and relax, no rush. I'll still get there, 5 min's later. Just get up a little earlier, no traffic. Make a flask of coffee.
  4. Why would anyone use 407
  5. Mike, I hope you catch some nice Steelhead with that piece of art. The 5'ultra light rod Chris made me was for 2 to 4 lb.test and I only seem to catch big Muskie on it and some BIG beauty Sheep-head. Doing the math on the size of your Spiel rod, your Steelhead should come in around 50 to 100 lb. Can't wait to get into some of those Quinte Sheephead. MAN not being on the water for a few days, makes me think in strange ways Nice rod Mike, I had your seat in my hand, that thing is like gold. I also saw a few stages of it being built. Chris told Brook to keep an eye on me that your rod wouldn't grow legs
  6. Dan would that derby be Jimmy Riggin's derby? I may give that one a shot. Nice Perchin, looks like Bait Island in the background
  7. Congrats Joey & Paul
  8. Thanks scugog, I'll have to look for it next time I'm there
  9. Were do you buy the spray film in Hamilton?
  10. I have a 50hp Honda Tiller. The dealer told me every 2nd oil change, change the filter. I've been using Quaker State oil since new 5W30. But if you have lots of money, change the filter every 50 hours like they recommend. I'd be changing every couple weeks Thanks Randy for the cross over, sure going to look into that. Even I may change every change if I can get them cheaper than $15.00
  11. That lake never had Walleye in it till it was stocked, so I was told. I fished it last year and caught 3 nice Walleye near one of the Islands that had a weed bed near it. I used Chomper worms on a single blade harness, chrome blade-red beads and split shot. Real worms got chewed off by the Sunfish, Perch and Rock-bass before my harness could get to the bottom, so thats why I went with the garlic pumpkin seed Chompers worm. They have to be the best and stinkiest plastic worm on the market. Good luck next time out
  12. Fishing just started, this is the best time of year. And some are putting their boat away.
  13. Funny, I could enjoy sitting in front of his place in my Clam fishing for Perch and Whitefish and not pay any taxes, cut all that grass, skim that pool. "Oh" to not be rich is the way I like it.
  14. You just make me "Hungry"- to go - just had to throw that in. My wife just said, why doesn't my ribs and chicken look like that. my excuse is to her is I cook blackened Cajun. Man, that food looks good.
  15. Welcome back Sis, where's the pink fish avatar.
  16. Facts of Fishing hands down. Dave is different not the same old boring same old. 50 casts 1 fish, small, big it don't madder. fun fishing with some laughs is what it's about. I'm waiting for Little Pete to have his own show
  17. I did get out, man was it hot. Fished strait out of Burwell from 55 to 63 FTW nothing. Pulled up and went east off the sand banks 58FTW, bang right away orange harness at 45' down on the rigger lost it behind the boat. down again, not 5 Min. bang another in the net. dropped down again, bam another in the box. then my buddy started to get heat sick, we went in. We marked a ton of fish. Talked to a few guys at the launch and they said it went dead out there, just a few guys got very few fish if any. But tomorrow is another day
  18. You may want to consider Forans Marine or fisherman's pier, cheaper to launch. 50PT. is $22.50 to launch your boat I fished Thurs. ten hours out of 50, never moved a rod. Water was 70 top to bottom. But that was then
  19. Geoff was just out at port Bruce, limited in 2 hours 24 Walleye. Phone: 289-237-5187 E-Mail: [email protected] I'm going tomorrow to Burwell. I hope to make a report.
  20. AAAAH the famous SHEEPHEAD "DRUM" Take care of that fish, handle with care and live release gently, that's Ontario's #1 game fish.....In My Eyes . Give me 1 of those over any 10 BOQ Walleye. Spiel, You were waiting for me to reply
  21. So it takes you 5 minutes longer to get were your going. Save 30 to 40 bucks and relax. It's beyond me why anyone would use the 407. It could grow up in weeds, if it waited for me to take it. Billy Bob, my blood pressure is up with yours on this one After reading this post, they helped lock the door for me.
  22. Nothing much left. I had to change after looking closer 8.25
  23. Just one question, Why?
  24. Your favorite rod and reel with clear 6 LB. But on Erie, the Zebra mussels do a number on your line. Keep checking your line above your tube jig.
