  1. Nice, Still not as good as the ones you built me, except that butt cap would look better on mine
  2. Last I understood, were all immigrants. Was I offended, NO!! I hope Don runs for Prime Minister, we need someone that tells the truth. and that so called friend Mclean should be ashamed throwing his partner under the bus. Were living in a weak world now. To many people throwing the race card if they disagree. You can't say a thing to your kids anymore or they'll run to mommy and cry, try and take their cel phone off them, life ended I'll commit suicide.
  3. Great news Bro, happy for your son.. Don't get on here much anymore, follow a few other sites from my area.

  11. Way to go bro, some good eats there. Just read there doing a rescue in Long Pt. Bay right now some guy floating out on broke up ice.
  12. Had a permanent hut for years on Simcoe and you wouldn't believe the stuff that happened to my hut, your joke was one of them. Little to say I had to move it, wife was pretty disgusted.
  13. Hi Bro, that's great your son has it, hope he has the luck I had with it. Wish now I should have kept it. That Clam Scout I bought is a little small for 3 holes, one for trans, 2 to fish and with heater, it's tight. Seeing you guys have ice, I may have to make the trek up to Simcoe. I don't think we'll get safe ice for the harbor here and Long Point is going to be iffy. Love to do the Whitie thing one day. All I need to see now is seeing you with a couple flopping around your feetwill just get me craving.
  14. Johnny the best espresso that I ever drank was a guy I worked with at that place you know on a night shift, (sad) not with us anymore. He use to make it on the landing working on the cranes in the Caster, BOF, made it in a thing that screwed together, I guess called a espresso pot. Man was it ever good, he told me it was his blend, made from a few different coffees he made at home. Tiny cup, but man, you didn't need much to keep you awake. Was a great Italian friend, passed to young
  15. Great idea Wayne, glad to see you drive a real truck
  16. Thanks Johnny, I've got my vinyl flooring now, I've read about gluing the vinyl and it came up with stuff they say is water base and you have time to move it a little, it doesn't dry right away. Some have used contact cement but you only have one chance after it makes contact.
  17. I did drill out the rivets from the frame but not off the doors it self. I set the doors in the frame so you could see the gap. Left the hinge on the lid, there is a space to get the vinyl in between hinge and lid. I have heavy rivets that I'd bought at Princes Auto that will work. What a job trying to get the old glue off the lids I used brake cleaner and carburetor cleaner , what a mess
  18. Thanks tomkat, that's what I bought from Home Depot Only problem was after taking the carpet of the doors was the gap from carpet to the vinyl. Had to glue some wood strips to take up the gap on the aluminum doors. This is only one section of the floor, have a few more sections to do, winter project.
  19. Looks great I'm doing the same with my Lund replacing carpet with vinyl, what glue did you use if you don't mind me asking. They say use a water base glue not contact cement.
  20. Please don't look at my rods, Bratina and Scales, DON"T remove, they lose value. Besides its natural fish sent. You don't use perfume deer hunting, you use deer urine as cologne.
  21. You can get in the Legion anytime its open Kalvin, you don't have to be a member. Sat. they have entertainment till 5 pm. in the club room. No food though except bar snacks. Come By Chance maybe a better spot or Ale House, just a thought. Hard to get something going around this time of year because of family things going on.
  22. I have the same smaker Brian but the Big Chief. I use a wet prine but lot of people make a mistake Brining to long, Wet or dry 3 to 4 hours is long enough then rinse, sprinkle with you choice of seasoning. let dry. Last year I basted my Salmon with Sweet Chilli Tye Guys loved it. I do 3 pans of chips but leave it in the smoker longer, it all depends on the size of your fish pieces. Some like moist and some dryer. Time is about how hot it is outside, shelter your smoker to make internal temp hotter. Put a box around the whole smoker, make for faster results. Old school was enough salt in the water to float a egg or potato. You probably would have had success with you fish Brian if you would have rinsed the salt off then put your spice on before you smoked. Your fish looked like Salt Cod buddy, hard to take the Neuff out of the Neuff
  23. Yes Gerritt there is Musky in there, not many, caught a few myself. That's our annual trip every year, we stay at Kirk Kove Cottages. There is a few pictures of our gang on their site. Few of the guys are not with us anymore. We do well on the Walleye and have a few fish frys. Musky that I have caught are accidental catch, I don't want the stinking things, sooner catch a Sheep Head or a Carp, better fight. You catch them on light line on a jig and worm stink up your boat and hands, can't imagine someone eating them. Hard to bring them back after fighting them on light line. Since the've been in the lake Walleye numbers have dropped. One thing we like the lake is because its 80 % crown land not many cottages. Jim and Claire have done a lot of work there bringing the cottages up to snuff. We rent the double duplex 10 guys this year in a few weeks. After June the lake has to much activity for the Walleye guys, more the vacationers, Bass and Pike guys.
