  1. Im starting to wonder about the thaw myself, any updates would be appreciated.
  2. I think thats the longest its taken me to get from innisfil to keswick... I put 2 ratchets straps on it with the tailgate down the second time. Come to think of it i did get a few "looks" on the way.
  3. So i went to cabelas today and picked up my new 8 foot heavy action st croix musky rod. I was super stoked about it until the bungee snapped on my way home and it flew out of the back of my truck. It landed on the road and was run over by an oncoming car, i was absolutly heartbroken. After retrieving it i called cabelas customer service and told them my story, the lady told me to come see them so i turned around and went back. I was greeted at the door where she looked at the rod and told me to go get a new one, i grabbed a rod, signed a slip and was given the brand new rod free of charge. I was floored i couldnt believe they did that for me i didnt even know what say. Thank you very much to the customer service at cabelas, you have a customer for life!
  4. If i was going to risk a trespass to fish ticket it sure wouldnt be in a golf course pond hahaha
  5. Muskie over 50" or even just beat my pb 46" Pike over 44" not likely but possible King over 35 lbs. Frankly if i get 1 of those 3 this year would be a resounding success!
  6. Thanks, those little buggers can be a serious pest
  7. im in a union, but i certainly wouldnt trust the whole lot of them and i sure dont share their political choices...in my opinion its about who YOU vote for.
  8. Theres two sides to the equation and arseholes on both ends, the few on each ruin it for the rest.
  9. Sounds about right to me, save me a seat?
  10. I think it can work, i know a place with bows browns and bass living in harmony in a fairly small area, bass rule the shore trout rule the rest
  11. Every spring im puttin a bit of work into my tinny, mind you i bought it for 300. If your boat doesnt leak yet it will one day so price it in to your purchase and save some money. Unless you are are perfect boater and never hit anything and never drag it up the launch or the shore...if so look for a sealed one?
  12. Canned suckers eh? I wouldnt eat them down here but ive had smoked sucker years ago and it wasnt too bad. I usually c&r fish for them outside of a couple for bait.
  13. I went out on saturday and tried to get a couple suckers, the run where i went hadnt really reached the top yet but there was a few around.
  14. I would be pretty thrilled with an opening round 85 anywhere, particularily on a windy day
  15. To get my chaparral to troll slower for salmon fishing we set the idle a touch lower and now it works mint, i can go as slow as 2 mph with a v8 305
  16. I also play most rounds on a cheap course near home, 18 a cart 4 canadian for about 50 bucks ? To give you an idea of the type of course i shot a 1 over 72 there last year... It also has some short 220 yard par 4s soooo lol
  17. My short game is also pretty tight, but at 6' 250 and golfing with a guy who played all his life i have to show what i got with the big stick? I average around 270-280 but have crushed a few well over 300. I have also never seen a dog leg right that i didnt think i could get over lol. Golfing is about consistency and i just dont have that so i have a couple drinks and a good time and let the game play out as it will.
  18. I usually play 15-30 rounds a year depending on time. Most of those are on a fairly low brow course but i get out to some decent ones as well. On a good course im low 80s to low 90s depending on what my driver decides is going happen on a given day lol. You smash a couple ob early and its hard to regain those strokes on the green.
  19. Water level at my house is below fall levels, im not sure i can get my boat to and from my dock. It is down 3 feet from where it was this time last year... 3 feet
  20. I like to bottom fish for them myself, catfish rig with a worm will work or even just a single hook with a bell/slip sinker works wonders. I stick to worms they seem to work best for me
  21. I finally got into a few slabs of my own in the yard, the competition has been fierce with up to 10 boats in about a 100 foot section but ive been holding my own so far My first time scratching backround lol Pretty easy actually
