    Possum

you have low standards . A possum is like a giant rat but twice as ugly and 3 times as mean. If you have found a gentle one you're lucky...most will fight back when cornered...that's when they meet Mr 9 iron
  8. wow, I clicked solo's link...what an unbelievable area!
  9. you mean 2006 wasn't 2 years ago?
  10. got it

  13. March 31!!!!Time to unwinterize the boat for the second time and start the drive to Quebec...or maybe not
  14. most of those kids were cute in their disgust (the "hot pockets" line is a good one) but that one kid (the hater)is a big spoiled baby...not a cute display at all
  15. hmmm wonder if bulbob has any interest in bullet bobber sales
  16. well been away from the computer a few hours now. Long story short...I'm going to return the $71 of motorcycle oil. Went to the store and grabbed some 10W40...then found out I didn't have a metric allen key...back to store for allen key. Changed out the oil and winterized the boat. Now I have all winter to decide if the 10W40 I put in there is good enough, or if I want to change it again in the spring. Thank you for all the input!
  17. ok so she just got back and it is synthetic motorcycle oil 10w40 - also says amsoil on it. Are you saying don't use this stuff, would be better with just 10 W 40?
  18. well done to all involved (except the last place team...you guys need a new hobby )
  19. My wife was running some errands today, so I gave her my owners manual and asked her to pick up some oil for the crank case of my 50 hp 4 stroke Johnson, as I plan on changing the oil myself today (in the past have had the pros do it). It needs 2.2 litres. Wife just called me and said at Cdn tire the equivalent motor oil Sae 10 W 40 with a couple more letters tacked on (ie not "johnson" or evinrude) only comes in 946 ml containers and its over $20 a bottle (I think she said it has a motorcycle on the bottle). Need 3 bottles, with tax this will be over $70. I never paid attention to how much the oil was when the pros did it but does this sound correct? i kind of figured I'd be getting one of those 1 gallon jugs for twentysomething bucks
  20. that was deliberate Brian...we were truly in no man's land when we caught that one. 30 feet of water, no structure there, no structure nearby no nothing. If somebody wants to try and fish that spot again they can have it. We'll call that fish roaming the main lake basin.
  21. those are some magazine worthy photos (especially the last one)and some beauty fish.
  22. fantastic news! Hopefully makes Christmas a little merrier for you
  23. ...trust me, I thought of you right away! Because my buddy convinced me to get the boat out, and then convinced me to break the ice by backing in, he has graciously offered to purchase a new set and install them for me Saturday when I put the boat back to bed! Thank you again for the offer though. If he doesn't come through for me Saturday I'll be in touch
  24. I wish I had beat the last one Lew but it was not to be. We caught this one and lost another. Not the biggest fish out there but to be catching any musky on December 14 is good in my books. Now to "re-winterize" the boat before someone calls me about fishing tomorrow!
  25. ...it was worth it. Ice at the launch was an inch and a quarter thick, broke a light on the trailer, took half an hour of smashing ice with an anchor on a rope to get to open water but it was still worth it...photo to come later, have to get ready for company Christmas party
