Nice day for sure!

For bass I like the clack 'n cranks, they cast a good distance, doesn't grind against the bottom collecting weeds and most importantly CATCH FISH! The crankin raps are also really nice.

Lots of bass there, the islands create structure which the largies love and the channels create drop offs for the smallies.

If that's not the dream boat of anyone then they have another thing coming!

ya 200 bass in the whole harbour.

Even though this is an old thread you may want to know that while paddling through the narrows I've seen a few trout, if you can find a way of presenting a bait to them I'd be pretty happy catching a laker from there.

My plans change by the hour sometimes. I don't know if I'll go but I just wanted some info on it.

Thinking of trying for smallies and pike there this saturday, is there anything I should know? I will be on a canoe.

well there goes an hour of my day! guess I'll release them in the morning. Thanks for the heads up.

Just bagged 8 of good sized crays for saturday by tying a bit of ham to a fishing line, add a bit of shot and let it sink in a rocky pool, watched the meat until it disappeared and started to move, then slowly pulled the cray into my net.

Bait traps with some meat left over night works, also take a stick and bucket, turn over some rocks once you see one poke it in the face and wait for it to grab on, you can also dig a few holes near the river, fill them with water and check them in the morning for hiding crayfish.

I'm not too experienced with that area but if memory serves I have caught a couple of resident rainbows up that way.
