  1. Well last weekends walleye fishing trip started at leaving oshawa about 4:00am,and getting to sturgeon lake about 1 hour later, well myself and ernie another fellow member hit the lake for some tasty walleyes,we started by fishing our little area we always do by looking for some fresh cabbage& milfoil....and we found it and started to troll along the point just to the outside of the weedbed, and i hit a real nice walleye almost right away, well we just stayed with the programand kept running my electric back & forth across the point and ended up with 5 nice walleyes, and a few lost ones,so we had a pretty good morning and finished up about 11:30 am,because it was getting really hot and by then there was lots of sea-doos and other boats and as usual the lake gets real busy,so thats about that, and had a great walleye fish-fry..and it was great to get some of my ko-man-chi product to use as well it came in handy to,and my pro-staff shirt is real cool too,i like it alot...so here is a few pics of our catch and some nice scenery, and some of the areas where we were fishing on my graph......cheers

  6. Well carol, carp like to dig face first into the bottom when trying to shake a hook........hence RAZOR SHARP ZEBRA MUSCLES ON THE BOTTOM....they are rubbing sideways on the bottom and shearing the line on them i have seen them do this a the pickering nuke plant in the crystal clear outflow water....and fireline will shear even faster than mono which has some strech and can still function with a nick in the line....but with the pressure a big carp can exert on the line....,so maybe between the combination of a tight drag, and the zebra muscles that could be it.....oh well just an idea....cheers

  13. it would be much better to use leadcore line,or snap-weights,also you can use dipsey divers, wire is not to much good for eyes the ways i said above are alot deadlier..for suspending walleyes, and as well with using wire it is highly visible ,with all the other methods you can use a floro set-up........cheers
  14. Well done,nice report thanks for sharing....cheers
  15. I hear your pain i once ended up in lindsay hospital from sunstroke from fishing 12hrs straight on pigeon lake.. ..i was throwing up ,and was burnt so bad i had to get an I.V to replace lost fluids and had 1,2,3 begree burns, man i was sick and will never do that again ,it was about 15yrs ago,and now on hot days i will fish till about 11am then go in and nap or rest then stay out of the sun and then go out after dinner for the night bite....man you will only do that once and from that point on i be-very carefull about the sun on hot,hot days,so hope you get well soon and dont do what i did......i can still hear the doc saying it could have killed me....he said i should be glad i was young at the time and my body could fight off the burn he said if i was middle aged i would have maybe died...... ...
